Yep, this is on him, he's had plenty of time to prepare...and to prep the troops and watch film and gameplan...the team should come out smoking - immune to the TO crap - immune to the Hostile crowd....
I don't wanna see Bill punching coaches....b/c they should know what he wants called...
No excuses here folks...this is why we brought Bill in - to guide us thru big games, especially on the road.
I don't want to see us get the ball inside the 10 yd line and run 2 dives to Barber or JJ and then throw that asinine dump off pass short of the End Zone.
Get it done Bill.

Considering the outcome of some key games Sunday, the importance level of this game just got kicked up some. It's time to make a statement. It's time to prove we belong. It's time to put the Cowboys back on the map.

I think the first quarter of the game could be pretty tense. Unless we get possession right from the get go in Philly territory I think we'll see BP play the field position game and stick with the run game no matter what. He'll let our special teams and defense carry the team for that emotional early part of the game and then start running play action when things settle down. Glenn will probably get tested on the corner but unless Westbrook breaks a screen pass or something flukey happens I dont see the eagles moving the ball on us and simply losing the field position battle and getting slowly ground up in our rushing attack. No as flashy as last time but just as effective.

I'd give Parcells a pass this week. He his younger brother did pass away after all.

And as has been previously stated, it is ultimately up to the players that are on the field.

Exactly what I was going to say. I'm glad I read all the way to the end before posting. Bravo.

Can't give him a pass because his brother died. However, the players have to perform on the field. As parcells said, sooner or later, you have to hand it over to the players.

Yes the players are the ones on the field but it is the coaching staff that designs the gameplan and calls the plays. It is the coaching staff who decides to play for a FG when we are up by 10 points rather than continuing to go for a TD and putting the other team away.

Don't minimize the effect the coaching staff has on the game just because they aren't actually on the field.

If Parcells decides to come out like he did last time we played Philly we should have no trouble beating them again. If he comes out and plays his usual ball-control, run-run-pass-punt junk then we will have a long night and another close game which could very well go against us.

The Eagles have no running game to speak of, McNabb is hurting and isn't running like he used to, they have lost their starting Center, their defense isn't putting pressure on QBs like they have in previous years, and they have more distractions than we do right now.

This team is ripe for us to come out and play aggressive football but if we let them hang around while we try to sit on a 4-point advantage we might lose it.

As I always say, when you are up by 3 scores you have a lead and can work to run out the clock, when you are up by only 2 scores you are just ahead and need to keep scoring TDs.

I just hope BP did not spend 2 weeks preaching clock control and prevent defense because for some reason we always forget what works when it counts.

Remember the post I made in your thread?

This is just what I mean.

Before the game even starts people are ready to lay blame on (insert name here).

I agree the game is still on the players, you execute the game plan you have a good chance to win, you make mistakes and you risk a loss. Bill has been in the game long enough to know what he is doing

This is how I feel.

Of course any time we beat a division rival it is great, but this game is about much more.

We need to make a statement, that we are an NFC contender.

All of the early season butterflies, and uncertainties need to go away and we need to come out and slowly, methodically put them away.

When I coached I would tell my teams, "now it's time to show everyone what we do in practice, it's time to show just how good we really are. It is time to put it all together and show that we are a better team than they are."

Now is that time for the Cowboys.

Make a statement to the NFL.

Weather Forecast for tonight:

Partly cloudy with a chance of a few showers in the evening...then mostly cloudy with rain likely after midnight. Lows in the upper 40s. Northeast winds around 5 mph. Chance of rain 60 percent.

Looks like Dallas may escape the bad weather for this game

We should attack from the beginning - just like last game. See if they have made the necessary adjustments to what TG did to them.

Nice balanced attack, JJ, MBII on third down and going deep with TG. A lot of play action and drop in a few draw plays right from the beginning. WItten, Keyshawn, spread it around and make them defend the whole field. We have a lot of weapons. We need to get everyone involved and keep them completely off balance.

One of the major keys of why we opened up the offense in that game is due in large part because of the field position we were in through out most of the game. It is a bit easier when you start from around the 40 yard line as we did in that game.

I believe BP said that he decided before the game that day that that was the gameplan they had going in. Start from the 20 and 1 20 yd pass to TG and your field position is great.

Tucker and Pettiti have to play well tonight. Protection for Bledsoe is always going to be the key to our success on offense. Get the Eagles back on their heels from the start - don't give them a chance to get confidence and the crowd in the game.

I just want the team to be smart with the ball and actually after the Philly game at the post game conference when the media asked about Dallas opening up the offense he did state that field position had a lot to do with it.

Dallas started their 1st drive aginst Philly from our own 49 yard line!
