Regardless of results (unless it gets out of hand). We should be able to see what exactly is Garrett's system.

Romo has been checking out whenever he wants, something Orton won't do, and drawing up plays in the dirt according to Jerry.

If we still see 40-50 passes then we know there's no hope for Garrett. However we should see a more downhill running approach with Dez to take pressure off.

More than likely we will see how bad Romo is when Orton lights it up with all these weapons at his disposal.. Garrett is just a scapegoat for a declining QB...

We don't know if Orton will audible a lot or not, but I suspect that he will just stick with the original calls. If we start out pass happy with Orton at the helm, I don't know what I'll do. I'd like to think the coaching staff has learned something.

Our red zone D will determine the outcome tomorrow night.

I think this Is it in a nutshell.

If we give up field goals we have a shot.

I am still not sold we will stop their blitzing, it would be kind of fun though if the eagles just stick Williams on Bryant and orton just throws it up to him deep every time they come with 5 or more.

And obviously our red zone D won't matter if we're giving up huge scoring plays. Like you said, holding them to FG's in the red zone and eliminating the big play...

Out of curiosity...how bad is Romo? You seem like you might have a Yoda type wisdom when it comes to QB play.

What do you see that 32 NFL teams don't?

A guy who had one impressive game all season (Against Denver) but still managed to lose it by throwing that fatal pick, tons of under thrown balls to WR's that beat defenders multiple times throughout the season, tons of passes off target, lots of 3 and outs due to poorly thrown balls, tons of points left in the turf due to poor passing, a guy who fades against stiff competition but pads his stats against sub .500 teams. I did a play by play for the Packers game, Romo was horrible...

And it will also determine how good our running game is. Obviously one game isn't a determining factor, but I've seen multiple people state how we're only effective running the ball because we run it so little. Well know we'll put that "theory" to test, hopefully it's just a myth and Murray runs for 250 yards on 30+ carries. :D

The defense will dictate the play calling more than anything. Tough to run it a ton if they're scoring 7 on every possession.

.........also tough to run if Philly stacks the box and virtually forces Orton to a passing option.........The line Orton doesn't have the options Romo has is a smokescreen......

If The Cowboys get too far behind, Orton's going to have to pass.

I respectfully disagree. It will help their argument, but in the words of Desi Arnaz, they still have some splain'n to do!

Long fields with long drives resulting in FG's will be a big Plus..... Short quick scores will sink us. Hopefully the return of Harris also yields some positives

For me..

I just don't want a bunch of 3 and outs.

Run, pass, whatever.

Maybe my expectations are too low..

Hahahaha..

Who knows what to expect?

With this team I try not to expect too much.

It seems like we have this thread every week.

I think I'd go on the body of work over 3+ years instead.

I think we won't be able to run early because if im Philly the first thing i do is stop the run. Second get Orton in passing downs and blitz, force Orton to throw and make plays.Orton is going to have to make plays early and force Philly to defend the pass.Philly knows they can gamble early because Cowboy D is bad and they should be able to put points on the board.

Under garrett we are 5-21 against teams with a winning record.

Im pretty sure that means, A. we need much better players and B. we need much better coaches.

ultimately we all know who its all on though.

So it will be business as usual.
