Good. The only thing we would of got was 3 or 4 players that would of left the game early with bad hamstrings.

If you've left your roster spot up to chance by now, that's on the player. Highly unlikely anything changes from here to there anyway - other than more injuries.

Ehhh....I disagree. Some guys have been simply hurt...plus a lot of these guys were auditioning for other teams. Just because the Cowboys let them go doesn't mean another team doesn't like them and scoop them up. I personally think its a big deal for a player but as a fan I really could care less. I've seen enough out of these young guys to know which ones are ready now and aren't.

But if one of these on the fringe guys came out and put up 10 receptions for 200 yards or a defensive guy got 3 sacks.....teams would take notice.

I thought the game money was being donated and heard players were donating game checks. If I was a player I would want to play and raise the much needed money. Hopefully the NFL writes a huge check.

I saw something about it being a donation game, proceeds go to Houston, so I was going to take a trip to the game.

That sux.

Awuzie and Woods could have used some more reps.

This is probably good. No need to risk any further injuries.
Especially for the Texans. Their heads and hearts would not be in the game. I could see players lack of focus, therefore injuries could happen.

We had 4 PS games, and this game was for evaluation of the bottom 5 guys to make the team. Which the coaches already have a good idea and enough to evaluate them anyway.

besides, part of my dilemma is solved. Now I can watch the Ohio State game fully and not a PS game that is basically meaningless. Though I may only get in the 1st half oft either game anyway. As will be traveling to Ohio to see my dad.

Also, it makes the league look like a fickle 14 year old girl who can't make up her mind. First the game might be in Houston, next it's moved to Dallas with a bunch of announcements and talk of donating proceeds to relief efforts, and now it's called off. Of course this is also the same league (and venue) that couldn't figure out how to get everyone their allotted seats at the Super Bowl a few years back.

Ehh, they're kind of dealing with an unprecedented event here. I'll give everybody associated with any event going on in Texas right now a free pass. These just aren't situations where there was ever a game plan for. I question whether Houston will even be ready for their season opener on the 10th.

Thanks for reminding me of the OSU game. Mike Weber, Damon Webb and Josh Alabi went to my alma mater so I try to keep an eye on them.

Every cop, firefighter, EMT working the game and the parking lot would probably rather be helping people in need instead of manning a truly meaningless football game

The players and employees of the Texans have their homes and families to worry about
