Every cop, firefighter, EMT working the game and the parking lot would probably rather be helping people in need instead of manning a truly meaningless football game

The players and employees of the Texans have their homes and families to worry about
This is true. Practicing at the Star seems kind of odd with all that's going on.

Ehhh....I disagree. Some guys have been simply hurt...plus a lot of these guys were auditioning for other teams. Just because the Cowboys let them go doesn't mean another team doesn't like them and scoop them up. I personally think its a big deal for a player but as a fan I really could care less. I've seen enough out of these young guys to know which ones are ready now and aren't.

But if one of these on the fringe guys came out and put up 10 receptions for 200 yards or a defensive guy got 3 sacks.....teams would take notice.
I'm not saying they're worthless games for the reasons you stated, but almost. Chances are they've either made or not made this team already

Heard it on sports radio. My reputation speaks for itself.
I know it's terrible what's happening in Houston but I think it's a shame the game was cancelled. 1. Because this game is important to 70+ players that need to show something on tape for other teams to see. 2. The game would have raised a lot of money for those effected in Houston.

Well snap. That sucks but is understandable. More important things going on in Texas right now than football. I sure wanted to get a look at the rookie DBs though. Oh well, bring on that sissy boy Eli and his gal pal Adell. Nothing like beating up on New Yorkers to bring a smile back to Texas.

I applaud the decision to cancel the game but it took too long to come to that conclusion. The Texans have bigger concerns on their minds than a football game. I hope they get their families relocated safe and secure so the players can focus on playing a real game in eleven days.
God Bless Texas!
