this dude at my work thinks the game was cancelled b/c people were snapping up the cheap $25 tickets and reselling them for $100+

he says Jerry didn't want to be associated with that and had the game cancelled

:facepalm:

of course this is the same person who previously told me that he felt Jerry was going to cut Dak last year in order to keep Romo :facepalm:

They should have been allowed to have a private scrimmage with the backups and young players at The Star. Get some more film on bubble players for both team.

I think this is good. So many of those Texans players need to get home to their respective families. Stinks for the guys still fighting for a spot but from the Cowboys perspective they had this game vs the Cardinals so they are in a better situation. When it all comes down to it at this point the 53 man roster is pretty set for all the teams.

Just to emulate pre season conditions, I hear the Cowboys will take the field Thursday night. They will randomly pick 2 DB's out of the bunch and have the team Dr. manually pull their hamstrings. They will also march Kellen Moore on the field to throw a majority of passes 5 to 10 yards short of their mark and then hustle off the field like he just threw a TD. Then they will have all the new O linemen practice their 3 consecutive holding calls or hands to the face penalties and of course lastly, JG will practice his clap in order to keep those calluses warm for the season.:facepalm:

Yeah but preseason isn't just about the guys playing for your team. They are auditoning for other teams during preseason. Especially with a team like Dallas...teams pick up a lot of guys we decide to let go. Im just saying some guys caught a bad break. This last game is the game they will get to showcase their skills for the majority of game since no starters will play more than likely.

the right move. No need for this last game. The rosters have seen set and the bottom will be churned anyways

Just so you know for future reference, the last pre season game for every team always takes place on the Thursday before opening weekend. Throughout the preseason teams will play on various days from Thursday - Monday but not the last game.

This allows for a competitive balance among all teams to have an equal amount of time to prepare. Even the Chiefs and Patriots still have a week since they play next Thursday.

There could never be a reschedule of the last pre season game because every team plays on the same day. Thursday is the last preseason game the week before opening day every year no matter what.
