We get Tony Corrente's crew. Don't recall how good/bad that crew has been for us in the past. But it is in lower half of penalties per game. As few holdings calls as possible benefits us the most.

Yeah, the fewer the better in this game. Penalties tend to get called far less in the playoffs as it is. If we don't get dinged with those ticky tack holding calls, it'll be a very good sign.

They don't operate by crew once the playoffs start, do they? I thought they took the best graded at each position and assigned them to crews for each playoff game.

Are they doing whole crews for the divisional games? I thought yesterday before the game they were saying they pick "all stars" from each crew.

You may be right. But he's the head of the crew. So maybe his less aggressive approach trickles down.

Yeah, it's all-star crews for the playoffs, which always do worse than regular crews because nobody knows anybody and they're always tripping over each other and botching things.

well, its not Tony Corrente's crew, but I thought the worst officiated game of the Cowboys season was the Minnesota game with Corrente in charge.

It's an "all-star" crew with Corrente as the head ref. The trickle down that you are suggesting isn't going to happen.

Unless you are the Lions.

It makes no sense. Just ruins their chemistry in the most important games of the year when you can't afford to have your chemistry ruined.
