Hey, Tony: Seeing how the Cowboys need depth at receiver, would you be willing to trade Travis Wilson for the Cowboys' fourth-round pick next year? I definitely would. -- Brandon Sarratt, Columbus, Ohio

Hey, Brandon: Jurevicius' ongoing knee problem has elevated the stock of Wilson to the Browns. He's had a decent off-season. I would, however, include him in a trade for Henry.

Hey, Tony: I wanted to know what you thought the Browns' next move will be. It seems that every week some idiot brings up the same names as the weeks before and you consistently give the same responses about each! So, what names do you speculate that the Browns could possibly be looking at and what scenario do you see anything happening in? -- Zach Menke, Lima, Ohio

Hey, Zach: If Joe Jurevicius can't play, they have to bring in another receiver, somebody to compete with Kevin Kasper and Travis Wilson for the No. 3 job. They've expressed some interest in San Diego's Eric Parker, who's available. They prefer someone with more size than Parker, who's six feet, 180 pounds. The more urgent need, of course, is for a veteran cornerback. I still believe they should make a pitch for Anthony Henry of Dallas, but the Cowboys want to get through their preseason without an injury before considering a deal.

would be somewhat ironic if the Browns tried to trade for Henry

Why would we surrender a fourth round choice for a player like Wilson?

Wait, that person was talking about THE Travis Wilson.

He of two receptions since being a third round reach for the Browns two years ago.

It is absurd. That's like a Dallas fan expecting a third round choice for Miles Austin. I realize fans tend to overvalue their own talent, but this person is a complete imbecile.

If Austin performs this year like a lot of this board assumes he will, then he might be worth a third next year. But then of course if he elevates his game that much, we wouldnt trade him.

But yeah, that guy is an imbecile.

I don't believe we would give up Henry.....he is too valuable in our D on passing downs

Browns beat writer Tony Grossi says the team would prefer to acquire a receiver bigger than Eric Parker as insurance behind Joe Jurevicius.

Parker is only 6'0/180. Grossi believes cornerback is a more pressing issue for the Browns and speculates that Anthony Henry could be had if Dallas makes it through camp unscathed. The Cowboys have at least six CBs worthy of a roster spot, so trading an aging one with a relatively pricey contract who's about to lose his job could easily happen.

Cleveland Plain Dealer

Just some Browns beat writer's concocted scenario but it got me wondering if Henry's age/price might lead to his departure.
I would hate it personally because I think he's underrated and our best ballhawk on defense.

Henry is far too valuable to this D to move.

Thinking that a rookie like Jenkins can take the spot of one of the better #2 cbs in the league is pure fantasy.

We may very well trade Henry.

But not to Cleveland.

I'm looking at their roster......mainly the WRs. I don't really see anyone on their team worth trading Henry for (anyone they'd be willing to let go of).

A high draft pick???? Maybe.....

Jerra is a gambler but on this one Stephen might rein in Jerra's more impetuous ways.
Henry is not expandable just as this secondary appears to be on the way to healing. Been a long time since we've been this loaded and ah's sure Jerra and Co. want to keep it that way.
If you want trade bait, wish we could trade Crayton (and don't give me that Crayton-is-No. 2-talent bs. He is not. I'd rather get something for Crayton nd go with Hurd or Stanback or even Austin Miles.

Or

get rid of Ellis.:)

In today's game you need 3 'starting quality' CB's and preferrably you want vets manning those spots. Henry, Newman and Pacman give the Cowboys that trio.

Henry will be here in 2008. He could be traded or released (if he gets injured again I can't see how we keep paying him and how anyone else wants to trade for him at that point) after the season if Jenkins looks like he's the better player and he's ready to be a solid #3.

And of course this is all based on Pacman staying on the right track.

3 bowls of ANYTHING causes flatulence.

Yea, I don't see Henry going anywhere until Pacman has solidified his "new" reputation as being reliable. That can't happen until he's played at least a season of football.

why would we trade away an important member of the D when one of our CBs is a bad night at a strip club away from never playing again and another has never played a down in the NFL....

Seriously doubt Henry gets moved, especially since he may move inside quite a bit on passing downs and could potentially be the FS of the future here.

However Alan Ball, Evan Oglesby and maybe even Quincy Butler could be shopped for low rd picks if they fare well duriung TC and preseason..

We're building a strong secondary, why weaken it?

But if there is a team that has some potential WR help. Using Henry as part of a deal landing us a very good #2 ,possible #1 WR, that would garner some serious consideration as to weaking our newly built secondary.
