You know what his QB rating would be?

Well, in his 3 December games his QB Rating for each game was:

138.0 Chic
129.1 Phil
151.7 Indy

But I am always unsure about how to figure them. In this case, I am not sure if you can just average those three ratings or not. It would seem to me that you could, but I really don't know.

Some of you folks sicken me. Seriously.

Why do you guys keep harping on the naysayers? We all know that Tony's great and deserves to be MVP. But all I hear is that he will never get it because of this and because of that REASON.

Come on. Its time for Cowboys nation to start embracing Tony and all his greatness. We should all be spreading the word throughout social media and telling everyone that we know including the mediots that Tony has been robbed. Lets stop accepting the Cowboys bias and start throwing some of that negative BS about Tony back at them if we can.

Very unlikely he'll be league MVP, but in my opinion he is this team's MVP and is a very strong consideration for league MVP.

it might be 1a (Romo) & 1b (murray). Without Murray's huge year I don't think Romo is upright and playing.

Unfortunately, it's hard to convince the world when we have Romo back-biters in our own back yard.

Happy for Tony, he has put himself on the line for this team, playing through pain and constant criticism but he never gave in to any of it. I have watched many QB melt under similar situations, Romo has come out of it a stronger man and stronger leader. When Tony tucked the ball and ran for some big plays early in the game I looked at my dad and said Romo knows how important this is today, he was not going to let this get away

I've already given Romo praise, like a real man does when the guy does good, unlike guys who refuse to criticize when he sucks it up. But aren't you the guy always preaching team game? Seems like you've forgotten that rule, but I'm sure it will be back if they get dropped in the playoffs, which I hope doesn't happen. The fact is, Quarterbacks are almost always the reason a team wins or loses. Luck was a huge reason maybe the number one reason the Colts lost today. You have to elevate your game when things go wrong and Luck didn't do it. Meanwhile, Romo took the heart out of the Colts. That's what big time QBs do, they rise above even when Murray was shut down, he rose up, accepted the challenge, and threw multiple crushing hits until he administered a knock out punch. Studly QB play is how you make it to and win the Super Bowl. The QB is the difference. I hope all of you have learned that now. You rise above mistakes from the rest of the team, and do what is necessary to win.

And yes he received a lot of help today, but there were times he didn't get much helped and willed his team to a victory this year.

Once he does it in the playoffs, he will be showered with praise. This is the year.

It is a team game and no matter how good a QB does be it Romo or Rodgers or anyone else they rely on a lot of guys around them and within the team to win games. As an individual Romo has put himself on the line with broken ribs, punctured lung, back issues and the broken bone in his back. He gives all he has. When Romo has made mistakes I have said so but I have also defended Romo to those who have dumped on him and placed most to all of the blame on him. I have been consistent I don't call for a new QB and bad mouth him constantly.

Seem you are the one who needs to learn, it is about team and QB more than any position relys on others, he does not block for himself the guys up front do and last night they keep him upright and clean. he does not run routs or catch the balls his WR do and they ran the routs great and made the big catches. He does not run the ball his RB do and because of them defense can't just tee off on Romo. He does not play defense and did not make any of the ints or shut the colts offense down. It takes a team to get to the top.

How was he able to suddenly get good at playing in December this year?

I think execution by a lot of guys helped Romo. That OL was not letting any one close to Romo last night and over the last 3 games this unit has been clicking. I think Romo and Dez have raised their game and partnership to a new level

clove has started tap dancing- his hatred of Romo is there for all to see in many posts over the last year or so. Now he realizes how bad he looked and he is dancing.

I think Romo has helped take some less than stellar teams higher then maybe we should have been and put us in competition. With this group of guys especially on offense coming together it has been a big factor in the end results. Guys like Murray and Dez have played very good ball all year, the OL with Martin and Fredrick manning the middle have done outstanding job but it is also the role players Beasly, Escobar, Williams who have raised their games and Jason Witten who may have a lesser role but has gladly taken that role on without making noise about it.

I'm very happy for Romo... I would really love for Romo to win a Super Bowl with the Cowboys before he has to call it a career... I think he deserves it .. Then when he does he can turn around and tell all his haters and pundits to kiss his RING.

Much more satisfying and gratifying. :)

yep, now people left the ''december'' talk and are now saying he chokes in 'PLAYOFF' games.........
tony will never shut em up unless he wins a superbowl. and then after he does that itll all be cause he got lucky.

It aint gonna be luck (pardon the pun ;)). We either have to go through the Packers or the Seahawks. If we get past either those teams and then whoever the AFC (New England or Denver) offers up as conference champion, the Cowboys and Tony Romo will have earned it.

The only thing that will satisfy all the critics is a Superbowl win and even then somebody will find something to complain about Romo. Sadly, the man gets more unjust criticism than anybody I have ever seen.
This.

Glad someone said it in this thread. Some critics will dog him regardless of any ultimate success he may garner in the future.

Unfortunately, sad is the wrong word. Stupid is appropriate. Romo has the quarterback skills to win championships. Staubach and Aikman have said this time and again. Incredibly, even their opinion is sometimes discounted.

There is one truth that criticism of Romo proves:

Everyone does not evaluate football in the same way.

That is a good thing in some ways. Differing evaluations promote variety of opinion. However, trying to understand what others see or do not see on a football field can be, for lack of a better word, frustrating.
