Correct me if I'm wrong because I'm obviously no doctor, but if a herniated disk does require surgery, prolonging the surgery a week or one day doesn't make a difference does it? He wouldn't be subjected to more injury by waiting until after Sunday to have it. Otherwise, if its something that requires immediate surgery then I see where you are coming from.

But if the surgery isn't required right away, why make it public that he will do so immediately and have the Eagles focused soley on Orton and gameplanning for him?
