Sorry you can't figure it out.. Denver knew they wanted a Qb to "groom", but they still drafted DE Wolfe first to improve their Defense. Wolfe is one of top FreeAgents this year and Osweiller ride the bench much of his career.. Now Denver is faced with paying or Losing him..
That's definitely not what you want from #4. Now if you want to mimic Denver and grab Bosa.. Then grab a Qb later in the draft. Have at it. Not sure why this is hard to understand.

I have things figured out fine. Your reality isn't mine. Not sure why this is hard to understand. Stay in Wonderland Alice. Peace.

Brady has Garappolo (2nd round)

Manning had Osweiller (2nd round)

Bree's has Garrett Grayson (3rd round)

Teams that win championships and have top ten talent at Qb already, don't draft back-ups at #4. They draft defense first. Sounds like they already know what it really takes to win SBs.. And yes, the last time Dallas won.. It was DEFENSE!! Geez, I'm done talking to a wall

when it comes to a superbowl this team and org is like a dog chasing its tail. will never catch it.

yep, that's because we do stupid things like drafting a backup-"groomable" QB with the fourth overall pick. smh. Championship teams just don't do that.

They don't draft QB's at #4 because they haven't drafted that high in a long time

no because year after year they keep drafting players at the same positions... last year they used a 2nd round draft pick on a DE, they year before a 2nd and 3rd on a DE. They used a top 6 pick on Mo, which also cost a 2nd round pick, when they had just paid Carr big money and had a 1st round pick in Jenkins still on the team. They spent a 2nd round pick on an injured Lee, then the next year on an injured Carter. Crawford was a 3rd round pick, and so was Wilcox. Jones was a first rounder last year, and apparently is playing safety from now on. Now you want to spend top 4 on Ramsey who will play the same position as your first rounder from last year or your top 6 CB from a few years ago? You want to go with Bosa to play the same position you invested the past 2 years? Jack to sit behind Lee who was a 2nd round pick and is on his 2nd contract? What about Hitchens and Wilson, 2 recent draft picks?

There is plenty of talent on the defense. Using the 4th pick on your usual favorites, Ramsey, Bosa of Jack would make them rotational players.

Championship teams don't draft 4th....like ever

So you have no idea what they would do at 4

Garrapolo, Osweiller and Grayson weren't ever 1st round QBs. They got drafted were they belonged and what exactly have they accomplished.

Joey Bosa or Myles Jack don't make DAL a "Championship" team without a lot of help and a ton of luck.

We're not drafting a back up
Romo is not going to play a single complete season from here on, he is 36, has been significantly injured last 3 seasons, usually shows up to camp in decent but not great shape and this year will have surgery to his shoulder

Open your eyes, we need a starter

I'll admit there is a big school bias in me choosing Goff over Wentz. I just don't think a QB from No, Dakota will have been tested the same way Goff has. If we pickup McCoy as a backup QB in FA, Wentz would be fine with me too. One of the top three need to be targeted and even traded up for if needed. Whose to say someone doesn't leapfrog CLE/SD (who both need QBs) with a trade up to TEN to leave us short @ 4? All of the the top 3 QBs are gone by pick 4 = Bosa who plays the same position as Lawrence @ SDLE. A MLB while retaining Ro? A CB/S will not help this team over the next decade.Who are we are missing out on? There are no guarantees with any draft pick but you have to be aggressive when you want your franchise QB.

Yeah, I agree with what your saying. It makes sense. Dave Krieg (there's a name for the old fans in the forum) had small hands and fumbled a ton. But I get what your saying.

Dang Tony, if you're going to get that surgery then go ahead and get it done and get to healing so you are full in on the OTAs and TC.

I have a problem with drafting a QB at #4.. A player that isn't going to immediately help the team. It's well known that 1st rounder "should" be day 1 starters. I won't argue the stats.. But Ramsey is widely considered the best DB in the draft.(as he was a consensus All American) He's big and very athletic, those traits have worked for Seattle for some time now. But it really dosent matter.. A young "project" DB, will still atleast see the field.. Your "project" Qb, will be warming the bench. Hell, I don't care..draft Bosa, Elliot, Buckner, even Jacks busted up knees will help us more than small-town Wentz.. Or "turnover machine" Goff! Like I mentioned before..I'm for drafting a QB, just not with the first pick. But go ahead and ride that media hype train. To each his own.

You are no different than jerry and have no idea how drafting and team building dovetail

The draft is for the future not only this year
This especially true this year with us picking high and needing a franchise QB

I don't care if that Rd 1 pick "sees the field this year" or not as long as that pick helps us for the next 10 years after that

Either have the surgery or don't, but stop thinking the season isn't coming up. He needs to have it, rehab and move along. I'm so ready for a new "successful" QB.

Typical Cowboys. One set-back and we are into Training Camp and then real games.

If a QB is deemed good enough to be a future starter... Don't get cute and expect him to be there in later rounds..especially when your #1 is 1. Old 2. Injury prone. And got a chronic back issue.

You know we like to get cute. It's a given. Sometimes it works like with McFadden. Sometimes it blows up in our face like with Weeden. This is why we are a mediocre franchise. Hit some, miss some, .500 ball 'till kingdom come.

I disagree...more recently, the scouting department has taken players literally off the street, and pieced together an effective defensive unit. Injuries and suspensions kills most of continuity when one can't even replace those players due to removal from lineup isn't long enough. But talent is being identified...and there is a point when seperation is an individual's responsibility to buy in completely and take the smaller steps necessary to become very good. Not on getting someone new who some how sees the light and knows winners in the non-selected groups.
