Tony Romo might end up in Pro Bowl

Drew Brees is off to Super Bowl XLIV. Brett Favre is off to retirement or a return but it's highly unlikely he will be at the Pro Bowl this week. So that leaves Green Bay's Aaron Rodgers as the only NFC quarterback standing for the NFL's all-star game.

Philadelphia's Donovan McNabb was the first alternate, so he gets the first call.

Will Tony Romo be called next?

We're not sure what alternate status Romo had after throwing 26 touchdowns and just nine interceptions to go with 4,483 yards. Arizona's Kurt Warner would be an option too, but he got banged around pretty good in the playoffs and would seem to pass on playing in this weekend's game.

It's kind of sad what's happened to the Pro Bowl with it being moved to the week before the Super Bowl. Maybe it's just a confluence of events but have you seen the AFC quarterbacks? No Peyton Manning, obviously. Tom Brady is out. So are Ben Roethlisberger and Philip Rivers.

You're down to Matt Schaub, Vince Young and David Garrard. Really?

Seems like this is going to be an awful one year experiment.
Just another in a string of irrational decisions made by Goodell driven by greed and brand promotion.

The London games, moving the draft and this ridiculousness. He might be the most aggressive business-driven commissioner ever but overall he is ruining the integrity of the game on many levels.

Garrard making the pro bowl is a disgrace. Yes, I know the Pro Bowl is a joke but still...thats horrible...

Garrard is one of the least qualified in the conference. What about Kyle Orton or Joe Flacco? The same goes for Carson Palmer, but he does have the injured thumb. I'd even consider Sanchez over Garrard.

I was hoping for JaMarcuss Russell so Al Davis could say he was right and justify starting Russell for the next 10 years.

I think the decision had more to do with the contract being up in Hawaii and they had to plan an alternative. By the time they finally came to a new agreement it was too late to change those plans.

The new draft format is a kick in the pills.

It was bad last year and he worsened it this year.

I'm going to give Goodell a pass on this. They were looking for something new, it made sense to have the Pro Bowl and Super Bowl centered around the two weeks in the same city and the game needed an infusion of "change".

It didn't work out but I think the logic made sense. I would have tried the same thing in his position.
