Tony Romo on deflated footballs: "As good as it is for the quarterback, which is nice, for the guy catching it…it can be helpful."

Tony Romo: Its about the integrity of the game and blah, blah, blah, but...we're going to another level b/c this team has been so successful

Tony Romo: I'm pretty consistently getting on Jerry Jones about signing Dez Bryant and DeMarco Murray

Tony Romo: You're ultimately building to have sustained success. Keeping Dez Bryant and DeMarco Murray gives us an opportunity to have that.

Golic joking w/ Romo about not having success w/out ND's Zack Martin. Tony: "No question. Hes the best Notre Damer over the last 30-40 yrs."

Romo: I think about the Green Bay loss every day. But not b/c of the catch. I look at things earlier in the game I couldve done different

Romo is being a pro saying there are things he looks at ealier in the game that he could have done differently. If you want perfection, you want to nail very single play.

Having said that, he may have played the best game of all of the Cowboys on that day.
In other words....the very last one of the entire team to point a finger at.

Lost fumble
Missed FG
Penalties
dropped pass or two
missed blitz pickup
missed block run block
miss pass block
bad route
bad run read
taking a sack vs throwing it away
bad play call

and we haven't even started on the defense...who's list would be enormous

lol

it's never just one play

Make that the last and best Noter Damer was Tim Brown.
Even before that... Not so much.

Before Tim Brown?

How about Joe Montana? Mark Bavaro?

Post-Tim Brown, how about Jerome Bettis? Ricky Watters?

I agree, but the momentum swing from that Dez catch would have been enormous. The packers would have been deflated as can be and we've all watched enough football to have seen teams getting momentum after a big catch like that can change everything.

The sad fact is, we'll never know because the refs took away the chance for the players and coaches to decide the game.

yeah, I think the defense would have been completely amped up if we had taken he lead there.
We'll never know, but it really isn't a given that GB would have answered. And if they answered with a FG, that may have meant OT.

Yep. Not only did Dallas lose momentum when the call was reversed, but Green Bay gained a ton of momentum because they knew they got away with one there and they had a chance to put the game away by just getting a couple of first downs.

Love Romo.
But I agree. Said that right after the game..

I agree. To me after a loss all should look at themselves and what they could have done different or better to help the team. Not look for a scape goat.

Just short of "I'll even give up some doe to keep em."

Sorry romo shouldn't have to give up anything. Poor guy gave up his body and his career to play for this organization through some really bad years and a very bad offensive line. He deserves every cent he's getting paid. Take him out of the equation. We win 2 games a season
