Everyone has an opinion on the Dallas Cowboys quarterback situation. That includes New Jersey Governor—and big-time Cowboys fanChris Christie.

During a co-hosting gig on WFAN's Boomer and Carton on Tuesday morning, Christie spun a conversation about the struggling Giants into some Cowboys talk.

"The Giants offensive line is pedestrian," Christie said. "Eli Manning can't throw from his back. You want to see a first-class offensive operation in the NFL? Ezekiel Elliott. Dak Prescott."

When Christie mentioned Prescott, host Craig Carton brought up Romo and asked what the Cowboys will do when the veteran is cleared to play—possibly as early as Week 8 vs. the Eagles.

"You play Romo," Christie said as Carton scoffed at the notion of taking Prescott out of the starting lineup. "Of course you do. You play Tony Romo. You have to. Tony Romo just makes you even better."

I think he's willing to say whatever it takes to stay in good graces with JJ. The primo seating arrangements he gets with him make it so.

Two things I found funny:

1. The article's headline included the phrases "Gov. Christie" and "weighs in". That must be intentional.
2. The governor of New Jersey commenting about a "New York" team that plays its home games in New Jersey. That is so appropriate.
