Romo can say what he wants but it was obvious that Wade got overruled on that call. As others have said, that was a very telling moment...

Whether Romo overruling Wade or not isn't the point.

The point is that Wade looked dazed and confused as always. He obviously had no definitive decision on the the play. He's the head coach. That's a concern.

Immediately after the play I said that the only choice JJ has now is to fire Wade. He has completely lost his control of the game and the team.

If you want to think he was lying, then he was. If you choose to think he's telling the truth, then he was.

I don't believe for a second the play was changed.

There is no way the Punt Team should have even been on the field to be waived off in the first play.

WTH was he doing then? Waving at Jessica in the stands??

It's the one thing he did right today and he says he didn't do it.

Wonderful.

It turned out to be the right choice, but if a QB is waving off the punt team that the HC just put in, then we have a real problem.

The sad thing is that Romo was right in that instance. You don't punt on 4th and inches when you're trailing by 24.

But what makes it said is that not only did Phillips clearly not see it that way, but that Romo punked him and he tucked his tail and accepted it.

In my opinion, that image singularly defines Phillips' tenure here.

Wade sending in the punt team was among the dumbest things he has ever done. Romo however was wrong in overruling his coach and it just shows how much of a joke our team is when the head coach doesnt even have any type of control of his team...

Imo Tony was trying to help Wade save a little face. Nothing wrong with that.

Didn't Peyton do this in the playoffs the same year the Colts won? Dungy still has his job................

He should have waved off the punt the next two times, as well.

Dungy has won consistently for over a decade.

It wasn't changed by Wade, you could read his lips on the sidelines, he said something like, "he can't do that"

If the decision was changed through the helmet, maybe Jerry is calling the shots through Tony's helmet.

...puts it on You Tube ,but Wade was shown on the telecast mouthing the call "punt" very clearly. It was after that the Romo change began.

Romo said in his PC that he didn't wave them off and that it was swiched on the sideline to go for it. I don't buy it though. Wade's doofus look says it all.

Yep, I don't believe Romo for one second. He did change the play, and it was the one correct thing he did in the game.
