If you want to think he was lying, then he was. If you choose to think he's telling the truth, then he was.

*shrug*

That's a pretty good way of saying nothing.

No offense of course. ;)

I thought it was very interesting to see Tony Romo overrule Wade Phillips when he elected to waive the Punt Team off and go for it.

I believe Tony Romo made the correct choice but I think it did make Wade Phillips look even worse than he already did.

I agree, he looked even more of a lame duck than he did before the game.

Youtube? I erased this crap from my DVR during the 4th quarter. I want to forget this one, but it's going to take some time.

absolutely he said "punt".

That situation goes down in Cowboy history as one of the most embarrassing plays in history...(even though I agreed with Romo that it was stupid not to go for it...but that isn't his decision to make).

I think that one play, more than any other this year, proved how little control or authority that Wade has with this team anyway. It's pretty clear that players know they're going to do whatever they want to with him anyway.

I've sent players out of a game giving a message from the coach. Get the hell out of here. Then call the play. You had better not be wrong or pull that too often though. That play is not the reason Wade needs to go. The entire coaching staff needs to go. We don't need this continuity either.

Dungy has won consistently for over a decade.[/quote

Is that why he lost the job in Tampa? Nice work missing my point.

Remember Danny White snapping the ball when Landry didn't want him to?

Strange stuff happens in the course of a game...but what got me was the reaction by Phillips....he had this look that said "Hey, there's no overruling the head coach in football"

Romo really becomes unglued in these big games...he seems to lose his composure...the intentional grounding and additional flag toward the end of the game was very similar to the same situation last year in the playoffs vs the Giants.

It seems odd that you all seem to want to believe the absolute worse thing possible in the scenario instead of what people on the field are saying.

Anyone know if Romo was in the grassy knoll, in Dallas back in '61?

Romo is just cementing his label as a non-clutch QB. In fact I can't think of another QB in the league who comes up smaller and makes the most ******** plays come December and January.

Now it's hard to get too tough on him because he was an undrafted QB. It's just amazing that this is the best we could come up with this decade since Troy retired.

Jerry's QB search included a reach for Quincy and a couple of projects in Chad Hutchinson and Drew Henson. Parcells only brought us a couple of over the hill vets like Vinny and Bledsoe.

Then we lucked into an undrafted FA in Romo. But he obviously doesn't have what it takes to take a team deep into postseason. He almost always wilts under the pressure of big late season games and is way too erratic with the football.

Hard to believe the only QB we drafted in the last decade was Quincy. Most important position on the team and we had to wait for an undrafted FA to show up. Absolutely mindboggling.

Didn't Peyton do this in the playoffs the same year the Colts won? Dungy still has his job................

Maybe Wade will just resign. I mean he just got upstaged by one of his players on national TV. Maybe he will get a clue and realize he has no business as a head coach and just resign? :banghead:

Are you actually disputing the fact that Romo over ruled Phillips?

I can't wait until someone posts the footage.....it's not even a question.

Romo was right to do so, too.

In his PC, Romo just said he didn't overrule Wade. He said the call was changed.

I think Romo lied, then. After the punt team came off the field the camera focused on Wade and Wade said "You can't do that!" with a look of disbelief on his face.

Exactly. Wade definitely said "You can't do that!"

We are in trouble. Serious trouble.
