Also it's great that the OL is giving him 7+ seconds to dance in the pocket, but how many QB's have the calmness and the pocket awareness to hang in there for that long... Romo's ballin' like Dirk...

Exactly!!! Finally someone gets it. The OL did a tremendous job but Tony was just as impressive with his calmness in the pocket. His pocket presence is unreal. How many lesser QBs would panic after a few seconds and either start scrambling outside the pocket or force the ball somewhere early?

On that throw to Witten a few plays before the TD, he hangs in the pocket for ages then motions to Witten as a DL is finally bearing down on him. He gets the pass off just before taking a hit for the big 1st down. He's a master at utilizing every possible second the OL gives him.

He's the reason JG still has a job with the Cowboys. How many times does a guy have to bail his HC/OC out?

You heard of coach killer. He is the coach saver.

The truth hurts, sometimes. I can still hear Parcells in his pressers talking about Tony his first couple of seasons; "Ya gotta stay on him, and make sure he doesn't resort to those bad instincts". We didn't know how tough this guy was in 2007, either.

Personally, i've appreciated Romo more than those who are around me, who are usually hating on him. I truly think that with the right people around him, he can lead this team to a Super Bowl Appearance and Victory.

I truly hope that happens this year. IMO, he deserves it.

JG is also the reason he is still HC too. He is making the right choices, brought in Linehan, so he can actually coach the team, and all aspects of it.
Many ways to looks at it, but I'll call it as it is...a team effort....

Best season by far. he doesn't feel the need to win the game by himself anymore.

I think a big part is the offensive coaching and gameplan.

Linehan has shown to be a far better play caller than Garrett.

Yeah but it's also the way he moves laterally in the pocket, there was one instance on that last play where Romo could've been sacked but he anticipated the defender appropriately by faking south to free up northern part of the pocket. Moreover, that slight fake generated an additional 2 seconds. A QB like Nick Foles would've been sacked game over!
