In the DMN, Tony Romo spoke on Terry Glenn and said ""I think Terry Glenn is going to surprise a lot of you guys."
This to me is very encouraging because up to now the "official" position we've been getting from Valley Ranch is that Glenn is working out and doing well and has a chance to play; but we also hear that Dallas will be looking into June 1st cuts to add to their WR depth, as if that's a way to hedge their bets in case Glenn does not make it back. So basically, Valley Ranch speaks as if Glenn's chances are 50/50 at best, and a recent article from Mickey Spagnola echoes that same sentiment.
But these Romo comments sound like an "unofficial", but perhaps more accurate, position on the subject, implying that Glenn has much better than a 50/50 chance of returning and playing at a high level. In fact, this may explain why Dallas has been less than aggressive in the draft and free agency to date to upgrade the #2 WR spot. After all, we all know that June 1st cuts never pose a serious upgrade to any position, So when Valley Ranch refers to that as an option for addressing the WR position, I simply don't buy it. What's more likely is that Glenn is doing much better than Valley Ranch wants to let-on, perhaps for competitive reasons, and if that’s true then that would make this offense truly dangerous.
