As for his TD's and the record book.

He is currently at #20 and average 31.6 TD's per year averaged from TD's and starts.
3 active right ahead of him are Big Ben, 7 ahead, Rivers at 9, and Eli with 14 ahead. So doable to pass all of these actually.

If Tony gets 30 more TD's this year he will pass, Esiason, Bledsoe, Fouts, Jurgensen, Kreig Montana at 273, and tie Vinnie T. with 275, and he is at #10.

2 years with another 30, passes Unitas, Moon, Elway who is currently #7.

In 3 years with 30 more, puts Tony at 365 TD's, passing Fran Tarkington at #6 with 342.
Now you get to next on the list which Tony will not catc in Brady and Brees, anf the next incative QB would be at #3 in Dan Marino with 420.

So Tony can end up being between #6 and # 9 all time TD's. Depending if he can pass the 3 active players right above him.

Good read, thanks for posting for the rest of the board.

OTOH Roethlisberger, Rivers and Eli Manning are younger than Romo and may play more games. In addition there are some younger QBs that have a good chance to pass Romo too.
I did some quick calculations based on avg TDs per game started and the QBs age assuming every QB would play every game through age 38 and then retire. I'm also assuming that they'll maintain their TDs per start average. Obviously it's not going to work out exactly like this but as Yogi Berra once said "It's tough to make predictions, especially about the future."

QB TD/G Projected
Rodgers 2.48 544
Luck 1.80 461
Stafford 1.71 460
Rivers 1.75 420
Ryan 1.65 419
Roethlisberger 1.58 402
Manning 1.54 380
Romo 1.98 370

So the only QB that throws more TDs per game is Rodgers but since Romo did not get to start until he was 26 he's likely to play fewer games than the others.
