Let's just say it is super rare for a team to win a super bowl with a starting rookie running back. I think the last time it happened was with Dorsett 38 years ago.

Not only that, Dorsett came at a time Dallas was on top , going into the playoffs and contending for Super Bowls, year in and year out.

We haven't done that in 20 years....besides a few gimmie years....We have become a losing franchise and sort of a joke or punchline;

So the last time we got to the Super Bowl with a Rookie running back was 38 years ago? And that's when we had a dynasty going......

But no worries, its a deep RB draft class this year. And we have Joe Randle...

Hey JoeBoBBy you have a great point, I remember when Dallas lost to pittsburg the first time they played against each other in the Super Bowl. Dallas had Preston Pearson and Robert Newhouse and just couldn't get the job done. Two years later they get Tony Dorsett and they win the Super Bowl that year. A sports writer said the Cowboys get a jet engine to power them to Super Bowl win. And great it was indeed, so I know a rookie RB and help get us to the promised land.

Not just Dallas 38 years ago... I think that includes ALL teams. Last time a team won a super bowl with a rookie RB was Dallas in 1977. Maybe we do it again this year? Nah, let's just be safe and go get AP. I think with his help that would drastically increase out odds.

I dont agree we are a team on the up and up...a young and talented oline, a good QB and a young defense which with help from the draft can be just as good as the offense

I am all for drafting Defense for the next couple of years. I want to build the Dline like we have built the Oline.

I dont expect anything else from the FO, we were bad on OLine for long enough b4 jason came in here , i feel its now on marinelli to find his "RKGs" to make sure this defense is on track and going in the rite direction i dont think we draft BPA i think we go best DLineman and then RB in the 2nd round just my opinion

How is getting a high priced 30 yr old RB with two surgically repaired knees a safe option tell me again?

Of first off.. after he had those repaired knees he ran for over 2k yards. Not impressed? Ok, he ran for 2k yards behind a crappy line when HE was the whole offense. Teams knew he was getting the ball and stacked the line and he STILL got 2k yards. AD isn't some random 30 year old RB, he is the best RB in the league.. yes, even at 30.

Our current vets.. Romo and Witten will likely be done within 2 years. We have a very short window and we have a very good team right now. We dominated last year because of our solid run game, and now you want to hand the reins over to some random rookie? What could possibly go wrong?

AD makes all the sense in the world for our team right now given that we have a limited window of having a very solid chance of winning a super bowl.

Well I am glad he said that instead of "we aren't going to make the playoffs so don't get your hopes up"

Well said! AD is special, throw his age out the window. He is one of a kind. He's what this offense needs especially behind that oline with that QB and that bigtime reciever.

lmao...dude, why are you responding to him? He has stated a thousand times that Romo will never win a SB! But, now that the team is looking up with Romo as the QB...he wants to stand in the front of the line! smh
