Settle down, he turned the ball over killing drives, he tried to make up for it but ultimately his mistakes were costly drive killers. Stats lie you should know.
The defense is atrocious and giving them a short field to defend is a no no.

I haven't dismissed Romo but I'm not certain he's the answer either.

what about that 99 yard drive?

what if our D actually played even average after the TD to TO?, we would have won the game, and romo would be the hero.

Romo played fine, especially for a guy only making his 10th start

Romo will learn from his mistakes.

The D......that's another story.

To Bad we can't run down to Wal Mart and get a few players. The D is on the coaches.

He had a damn good game...made a few mistakes, sure...but he was one of the few who played with passion.

Sooner or later, the defense has to bail out the offense when they make a mistake.

I'm so sick of this defense I could scream. But I'm not blaming Zimmer entirely. I think it goes higher up the food chain than that.

23/32, 321 Yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT

QB rating: 111.6

One 4th quarter drive to take the lead.

One 4th quarter drive to come up one yard short of tying.

If he makes that one extra yard, he is the hero of the game. But nooooo...he's the reason we lost. Some people are just plain ignorant.

Dude stop ignoring the glaring bad points of the game! He lost TWO fumbles that resulted in critical points, one of them was in the opposing team's redzone....and could have very well lost that ball in the endzone that he tossed to T.O.

I am a huge Romo fan, but he did not help the team by dropping the ball multiple times due to nothing at all! He is not the only reason the team lost, but he can take some blame along with the rest of them!

Cue the romo defense force.

Romo had

THREE

Turnovers.

THREE.

If Romo had not been coughing the ball up, we wouldnt have needed the last second heroics.

Spin it all you want, but Romo has played like shiat when it mattered most. He folded up the tent. Just like Bledsoe did last year, just like our Defense did this year.

What about that 99 yard TD drive, then the D stunk it up?

if the D played decent we won, and Romo is the hero.

He played fine

Exactly.

Romo plays with a Favre-like flair. That's not to say he's a HOFer in the making, but he makes positive plays while also risking some failures here and there. He's not a "manager" who just takes the given play time and time again. He's been called a gunslinger, and we now find out why.

He makes tons of plays no one else can. He also makes negative plays when he should just tuck the ball and go down, or harmlessly throw it out of bounds.

To place today's loss on his shoulders is highly myopic. He, like all players, had a hand in it. In now way is he absolved. No one should be petitioning the NFL that he have this "L" removed from his record book because he doesn't deserve it. :laugh2: But he's not the "reason" we lost.

dont forget 4 fumbles and 2 lost. Dont wanna take away from the other stats but lets at least have the whole picture here
Ok...let's get the whole story.

1 fumble - Makes an incredible play that keeps the Cowboys alive in the game.

1 fumble - Gets hammered blind-sided (most likely by someone that wasn't blocked) and the turnover was deep in Lions territory so it wasn't detrimental to the game.

1 fumble - Recovered by the offense.

1 fumble - Legitimate turnover. When you're not getting protectiong. Chit happens.

We were also 2 for 9 on 3rd down conversions at one point. Which isnt necessarily all on him but it's also the one thing he was doing really well during the winning streak.

But hey at least he got us in the endzone a few times today.. thats more than you can say about last week.

Did you read? I said his mistakes were costly and he tried to make up for them but ultimately they were not enough to combat his three turnovers and short field position he gave to the Lions against a dismal defense.

I thought Romo played a pretty good game. Yes he had to scramble, but if he hadn't scrambled as much as he did, you would've had to put him down for like 8 or 9 sacks.

He still makes plays and gives us the best chance to win with our HORRIBLE offensive line. Flozell and company needs to donate their entire check to charity, and I'll be the first in line to accept the charity.

I don't think Romo was the sole reason for lossing but I would not say he had a good game either. Way too many TOs. We gave up a lot of excellent field position on those TOs that lead directly to points and one INT thrown while we were in scoring position.

Having said all this, we can't stop anybody. Haven't been able to since Greg Ellis went down IMO.

You need to understand the concept of team sports, the offense turned the ball over thrice.

Post game Romo is very PC again. "we" "we" "we" We just minimize the mistakes and we'll be a team to reckon with" I wish he would throw an "I" out there. "I" made a mistake, "I" need to correct a few things. I've never heard him use the word I at least in reference to poor play or need to do better
