I rolled my eyes at the "positive" TO threads too because I see no positives in losing. His QB rating looked great and 321 yards was great too, but because those numbers looked great does that mean he is not to be given even a shred of blame for todays loss?

share yes - but it's more like you bash romo a dozen times then fling in a "but the team played bad also" so it's not 100%.

the team had a bad day. that's all there is to it and the micro-analysis isn't going to get anyone anywhere.

this is one of those things that romo does that when it works for him, we "annoint him" and when it doesn't, we crucify him.

the truth is in the middle. learn when and where to do this and not do it all the time. that will come with experience and only experience.

romo will be fine in the long run and this one game does not define his career.

No doubt I believe he will have a great career here in Dallas making more pro bowls in the future. I am not anti romo. I am Anti people who do not want to say anything bad about romo even if he deserves it

to me this is just an extreme of the other side and about as useful as cowboys19 who got banned today.

i don't need people around me trying to balance the info coming at me - i can dissiminate it for myself.

Romo plays with passion. He makes some great plays and he did have some costly mistakes today,, can't and won't spin that at all.

However,, after 10 starts, he looks so much better than Bledsoe has in the last 2 years.. he looks vastly better than Eli Manning after starting 2.5 years for the Giants, he looks better than Jake Delhomme.

This romo guy will be a good QB for a long time if he can stay healthy.

As bad as this loss hurts as a fan.. I can say, if everyone on the team played with his passion and wasn't scared to make mistakes in an effort to make a play,, this team would be much better.

I havent bashed Romo at all. I have repeatedly said he is a good QB and I want him as the starter.

I dont throw in a "but the team played bad" I said that originally the team including romo played bad.

Post game Romo is very PC again. "we" "we" "we" We just minimize the mistakes and we'll be a team to reckon with" I wish he would throw an "I" out there. "I" made a mistake, "I" need to correct a few things. I've never heard him use the word I at least in reference to poor play or need to do better
ive noticed this as well. not something i like about the guy

23/32, 321 Yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT

QB rating: 111.6

One 4th quarter drive to take the lead.

One 4th quarter drive to come up one yard short of tying.

If he makes that one extra yard, he is the hero of the game. But nooooo...he's the reason we lost. Some people are just plain ignorant.

With the weapons we have, a dozen qb's could have done the good things that Romo did, but because he has the talent of a backup is why he can't close the deal. You seem to forget, that the good numbers he put up was against one of the worst teams in the league, and at home at that.

He had a damn good game...made a few mistakes, sure...but he was one of the few who played with passion.

Sooner or later, the defense has to bail out the offense when they make a mistake.

1. That Romo, at least, played with passion.
2.True, dat. It's been a long time when the defense has come to the rescue.

As I said in my analysis after having tivo'ed and watched the game in slow-mo, I firmly believe that Romo played a great game with a few costly mistakes. He wasn't flawless by any means, but he was having to move around probably 30-40% of the time because the pocket was collapsing around him. He needs to hang onto the ball better and get rid of it a little sooner when the play drags on - true. He needs to quit trying to create big plays when the play is busted because that seems to lead to some of his picks - also true.

But if he can clear up just a few little things he'll be our QB for years to come.

Until they find a way to count stupid errors in the QB rating, it is a meaningless stat.

Romo was playing DETROIT and he spotted them to 21 points on his foolish turnovers. Detroit was playing for the first pick in the draft and still couldnt find a way to lose because of Dallas' errors (primarily Romo).

Or he will be the "undrafted free agent" the rest of the league knew he would be. I think the defenses have Romo's head spinning and it will be interesting to see what happens to him. They'd better have a quality backup waiting in the wings.

BS you gomers. ROmo is a good young and inexperienced QB with a lot of very good intangibles and one bad- he is a gunslinger. how he controls that mentality will be the key to how good he will be.
oh, kartr: ROmo is to Q like LT is to Hambone. Q is not even in the same galaxy as Romo is. Talk about comparing an ounce of tin to a pound of gold.

We hope you are right. There are many qb's that have sizzled and fizzled. I just hope Romo is the real deal and not a shooting star that has already faded. Making mental errors and handing a sad sack team like Detroit a win with stupidity isn't exactly what qb's of the future should be doing.

Say what you want about Q, Bledsoe and Testaverde but they all know how to beat bottom feeders like Detroit. Having your qb of the future hand a critical game to Detroit doesnt evoke great confidence. I hope they have a quality back up for next year, just in case.
