I'm just curious if anyone knows what Romo's late season performances were like in College? I know he was the three time OVC player of the year, but I also know that in 2000, 2001 and 2002 his teams lost in the first round of the playoffs. I also know that the 2001 loss was a surprising one at home. That is all I could find on it. Apparently division IAA football doesn't have quite the history on the internet as the larger schools.

In the end it doesn't mean anything, but I just found it interesting that big late season losses were apparently his experience in College too. Like I said, in the end it means nothing. Aikman played for a losing High School program, and UCLA couldn't get past USC (though he did lead them to a Cotton Bowl win right before he came to us) and then in the NFL he went on to lead us to 3 Super Bowls.

But I do wonder, sometimes, if winning big games is something you LEARN to do. Either way we have a BIG game come Sunday.

Very Interesting. Maybe Tony is not a big game player. Let's look at Peyton Manning.

Peyton Manning couldn't beat Florida or win a National Championship at Tennessee. He didn't win a playoff game until his 96th NFL start.

If the Colts win on Sunday it will mark the 6th consecutive season the Colts have won more than 12 games per season. Talking about a choke artist. Last year they also finished 13-3 and lost to the Chargers in the first round and got a a free pass while the Cowboys got hammered by the media.

Hopefully Tony can turn this around.

It's not easy to win in the playoffs. Here's the history of when I started following the Cowboys religiously.

1975 - lost in Super Bowl X - Staubach
1976 - lost in 1st round - Staubach
1977 - won Super Bowl XII - Staubach
1978 - lost Super Bowl XIII - Staubach
1979 - lost in 1st round - Staubach
1980 - lost in NFC Chmpionship - White
1981 - lost in NFC Chmpionship - White
1982 - lost in NFC Chmpionship - White
1983 - lost in 1st round - White
1984 - No playoffs
1985 - lost in 1st round - White

Staubach was AWESOME but like Manning not being able to beat the Patriots, Staubach and the Cowboys couldn't beat the Steelers in the Super Bowl. Had we beaten the Steelers Staubach would have been regarded as possibly the BEST EVER!!!

It was VERY frustrating with White as the QB. The Cowboys had the most TALENTED team during his first 4 seasons as starter and we always lost to teams who played with EMOTION. See why a lot of people state Romo may be the next White? White didn't win anything but he was an excellent QB but made key mistakes at key moments.

Win or lose the Cowboys are still my TEAM!!!

BTW - Thank GOD for being able to win 3 out of 4 Super Bowls in the 90's. That legitamately put the Cowboys as one of the top organizations in NFL history because up to that point they had under achieved in my eyes.

This is interesting. But I have confidence in our Romo. He will get it done!
