That was Murray's strength IMO. He was falling forward, fighting, getting a yard or two. Not certain any of the top two backs on the roster can do that. In fact, a lot of backs do not do that.
Taking what is given is one thing, taking that and stealing another yard or two on each carry is another. It adds up, frustrates and tires a defense and makes a 3rd and 5 passing down into a 3rd and 3 which opens up options.
People complain Murray "left yards on the field" because he did not bust his runs to the house as much as they wanted. Smaller fast backs leave yards on the field because they go down and even backwards on first contact.
