I've read alot of the threads here and I don't get the panic. The Cowboys are 4-3 and have a chance to earn a tiebreaker over the Bucs who lead the NFC South. The Bucs only have one conference loss so they would be the 2 seed if the season ended today. The playoff picture and hell even the race for the NFC East and homefield advantage (not that it matters all that much in the NFC) is still wide open.
Teams in recent years that have won SB Championships have been far from dominating over the course of a season. While the Pats dominated the regular season last year (probably through Spygate), opponents gradually narrowed the gap (they nearly lost to the Ravens, Eagles, Giants in regular season)...then we all know what happened in the big game.
I understand the nostalgia for Jimmy Johnson, but bringing back an old hero doesn't ensure the same greatness. I'll admit yearning for Joe Gibbs a few years ago, and he did improve the team, but the success was limited.
Just look at the slate of big games this weekend in addition to yours with playoff implications and all of which I would call as tossups that could easily go either way. But any of the teams losing other then Pitt are going to help as long as you take care of business yourself. Its not like your team doesn't have the talent or the horses to beat the Bucs. Peace until Nov 16.
NYG (5-1) vs Pitt (5-1)....
Arizona (4-2) vs Carolina (5-2)...
Atlanta (4-2) vs Philly (3-3)...
