I recently heard that Brian Dawkins would be helping out with the coverage of Jason Witten. If thats the case, T.O would have to be doubled with a corner and Michael Lewis(Not much of a cover guy) and Terry Glenn would have one on one opportunities. If our line holds up i cant see this depleted secondary doing anything to contain our weapons. That is IF our line holds up..What do you guys think?

Welcome to the board...:welcome: :suxiggle:

We have a lot of options...to me the key is what does Dawkins do...if he stays back, then JJ has field day, if he goes in the box...go deep.

I think with Witten, TO and Glenn all primary threats, they need to pick and choose whom they double. If they don't, they'll get eaten alive.

Do you like pea salad? If so, you will be alright here...

Have fun!

If Dawkins stays with Witten, JJ will tear it up....

Well, if it's true then that might indicate that the Eagles LB's are weak in coverage... which means to me that Dallas may use Fasano and MB3 in the passing game against them.

OK every time we see someone new I hear the reference to CBZ's pea salad. And I don't know the story. I don't know if I missed that thread or wasn't here when it came out, but I'd love to hear it so I'm not left in the dark anymore ;) And why didn't I get some?

Well, I don't know the whole story either, however, I know that Cbz40 likes it and I do too! I also love pea soup...

I guess it's some sort of inside joke with the mods, or something, because lots of people don't like peas...pea salad, soup, or otherwise...

I eat them fresh from the garden! Maybe Cbz will chime in?

I hardly doubt the Eagles would be releasing their defensive game plan so this all sounds like speculation anyway.

One thing I do know, this wont be a cake walk for either team and if our secondary doesnt play lights out it could be tough for us to win with McNabb playing as well as he is.

I'll tell you the story one of these days.....For a long time now, my only legacy has been my "Pea Salad" Recipe. :)

As long as Bledsoe doesn't have a mental explosion like in week 1, we match up VERY VERY VERY well both defensively and offensively. If Bledsoe holds up (and that's a big "if"), I don't think this game will be nearly as close as people think.

you just said we match up very closely but then made it sound like we could potentially blow em out.

Im not as comfortable with our situation. I think we've played kind of sloppy the first 3 games. If we dont tighten up for this one it could go down hard.

good first post.

yes, I have noticed this year so far teams are putting at least 1 1/2 players (spy) on Witten, reason why his numbers are down.

I say bring it, and let Fasano run loose as well as the others. Fas could have a big game IMO

I'm with you on that! The Cowboys better play a tight game, or the Cowboys might not like it...

Plus, homefield advantage is nothing to forget!

yea, mcnabb is playing well, but the eagles havent really played a good def yet, now im hearing that stallworth is hurt and there other reciever ( cant think of his name, he's also hurt, lito and westbrooke are still qestionable,i think there def will have a rough time with our off, and i think our def will be the toughest def the eagles have faced so far this year.

I said we match up very well, not closely. Did you misread the post?

The defense hasn't played sloppily outside of 1-2 quarters in the Jacksonville game. We had some drops in the Commanders game, but I don't foresee that being an issue. Outside of Bledsoe's horrible play in week 1 I don't see how anyone could say we've play "sloppy."
