I keep reading how T.O. destroyed, dismantled (or whatever) the Eagles BUT in actuality what did he destroy?

They are Four TIME chokers. Accomplished NOTHING!

He wanted out.

The team was/is on the demise. I dont think T.O. really did anything.

He called them for what they were/are. Losers. Corey Dillon did something simliar and went and got HISSELF a RING.

TO played about 7 games and average a TD per game or so.

The Eagles are a storied franchise. The Bizzarro Dallas Cowboys. LMAO

I don't know that I would go that far simply because I think TO could have handled things a little differently. I don't think the Eagles handled it right at all either though.

Well they were 3-time losers when he joined them, so why did he want to go there so badly? T.O. has one reason for being mad at the team and it's all about the money.

the only thing there is too much of in regard to TO is posts on this forum

seriously, quit sympathizing and apologizing for this freaking loser, and it isnt just you...so many of you want to try and rationalize a case for him turning into a model citizen and teammate and signing with the Cowboys, and there just is NO hope for this fool...he totally instigated everything that has ever happened to him...the trade out of SF, throwing a pansy fit so he could negate a deal with the Ravens and go to Philly, signing a contract that his OWN association told him not to sign and then making a total arse of himself virtually everyday since going there

T-O IS A FREAKING LOSER PEOPLE, he is NEVER going to ehlp anyone win anything, and he's 32 or 33 yrs old now on top of being the ultimate team cancer

forget about him

So it is just a coincident that TO has been with 2 teams and has had problems at both places? Yeah it is not TO fault! If this was a 1 time incident I would be more inclined to agree with you but the fact is he has been with 2 teams and the results have been the same both teams got feed up with his act. Many of us said as soon as he signed with Philly that it was just a matter of time before he burned yet another bridge and he has. Teams will either learn from this or repeat the same mistakes that Philly has made.

We could use his production, his playmaking on the field. Playing with Drew he would finally have a real QB. I dont count Steve Young because the only reason he has a SB is because we helped him in that NFC title game.

Drew would zip that ball in their on a 5 yard slant and TO would run it about 50 yards.

You guys have to look at this from a production standpoint. I say BP and JJ straighten his *** out. They have my vote.

TO must have the inside scoop and now I hear that players are somewhat split in philly about TO.

It sounds like Donovan is the Golden Child and Mr. PC. They would rather have a sqeaky clean image(yeah right, their fans do all their dirty work) LMAO and lose, lose, lose.... instead of win.

We won 3 outta 4 with troublemakers.

Gotta come to grips. Football players are different animals. We dont want poster boys for the Beavers. We want wins. Superbowl Wins!

No one is saying that TO can't produce but he rips teams apart he divides locker rooms. Right now Dallas has a lot of young players and very good chemistry taking place on this team and the last thing the Cowboys needs it TO tearing that apart. No one man is worth it no matter what his talent level is. Other teams have won the SB without Owens and as far as I'm concerned Dallas does not need him to get to where we want to go.

You dont count Steve Young as a real QB? WOW - your prolly the first person to spew this trash. So in your example, I suppose Irvin helped Aikman, he would catch a pass and run it in or to the one and Emmitt would punch it it. So maybe Emmitts not really all that or maybe Aikmans not a real QB cause he had Irvin help him?

Thats the worst post I have ever seen.

PS.....To is a piece of Trash and should not even be considered a human being, let alone a Man. If he came to your Boys, it would rip the young heart out of this team as he did with SF and Philthy. Your crazy if you want him on this team. Your not a Cowboy fan if you want him on this team.

Maybe we could trade for the OL guy the Bears have that breaks people's jaws if we got TO. He breaks TO's jaw, his jaw is wired shut, problem solved.

eagles set themselves up for this by giving him that contract, they knew he was going to complain about later on.

Then why did he sign it? That is what gets me, a contract is a 2 way street on the part of the franchise and the player. In all it was a 7 year deal 48 mill and he seemed very eager to go to Philly and snubbed Balt in the process. After 1 season and a new agent all of a sudden he needs a new contract?

Football is a team sport. This type of player should be
bound to his contract and abide by the rules of the team.
Just take a good look and see how devisive this has become to
their team. How any player can be allowed to pull the antics he
has,is beyond comprehension.

Much of the Blame goes to the Eagles. They swooped in and stole TO from the Ravens, they knew exactly what they were getting. A extreamely talented and an even more viotile player. He is extreamely competitive on and off the field, it's what makes him tick.

With that being said, this is the reason I believe the Eagles were wrong. When T.O began talking about a new contract. The Eagles front office should have brought him in immeadiatley and had a sit down. They should of had a 2 way communication. Instead they blew him off. On the Basis that they were "The Eagles" and they don't "Renegotiate" no matter who you are. Just ask Bobby Taylor, Ike Reese, Jeremiah Trotter, Hugh Douglas, Duce Staley, Troy Vincent, Corey Simon the list goes on and on. Look how much they appreciated Derrick Burgess's play against Vick in the championship game last year. They let him go. I am not in Philadelphia's locker room but I am sure the way management is treating players as a commodity and not men, I am sure this is really starting to piss the players off.

What are they thinking. They have more money under the cap then any team in the NFL the last 4 years and they will not sign thier role players. They are close to winning it all and they continue to let key players leave. Lets all admit that the Eagles troubles have not been T.O's fault. The Eagles main problem this year have been thier depleted defense.

So T.O sees all that extra money not being used. He thought that he deserved a raise. IMO I agree. Sure it was only a year after he signed a contact, but look how much happened in that year. T.O took this team to the next level, they steam rolled through the NFL, He was unstoppable (I had him in every Fantasy league I was in last year) He was seriously injured and still played in the Super Bowl and He played like a man possessed. Give the man the money show some appreciation. He caught his 100th touchdown and there's no mention of it. No they are the "Eagles" they don't do that. Give me a break. They decided to fight TO in the court of public oppinion. The Eagles won by a landslide. They won, everyone hates TO.

Sure they won, but really what did they win. This situation coupled with how the Eagles have dealt with the other players, have set this team back 4 years. They should be playing for a Super Bowl. It's all the Eagles managements fault not TO's. The argument they didn't want to redo TO's contact because then every player would want a new contract is weak. Not every player is TO, and they know it. The Eagles didn't redo the contract because they think they are bigger then the NFL not TO.

The reason I have made this argument, is because I believe, if TO was on the Cowboys, none of this would have happened . It would never have gotten this far. Parcells would have called him in and had a man to man conversation with him. Then Jerry would have called a press conference to annouce, that he greatly appreciated the way TO had helped this organization and that he wanted to reward him with a new contract. I believe if TO were to come to the Cowboys he would behave . He's not perfect but Parcells and Jones know how to deal with people unlike Ried and Banner

There are always 2 sides to every story:
1) the Eagles hurt Owens feelings. (He's highly Sensitive)
2) Then they disrespected him (by not even talking to him and treating him like a child)
3)Then they showed him no love and made him embarrass himself in the media. (It was to easy, they knew he was too high strung and would say all the wrong things, they figured they would come out looking like the good guys in the end)

I'll finish by saying this team and this organization is finished. Ried has lost total control of this thing. They choose Mcnabb over Owens, but it was never about McNabb and Owens. It was about the Eagles and how they treat thier players. This fight has been going on for years and finally came to a head with Owens. The Eagles should have gave in this one time. They gambled and lost.

I agree whole-heartedly with this. Someone's needed to say this for a long time. I mentioned in another post about the Eagles not drafting Kevin Jones or Steven Jackson also is a issue and what about Peerless Price. He was available to them just as he was available to us. That tight-wad organization is getting just what it deserves. Donovan and TO deserve better. If we had both those players, we'd be 9-0 and on our way.

I think T.O. should have gotten a Market Value Top WR $$$ Contract. But HE and HIS agent didnt. Thats their fault.

Didnt his then agent also file papers late which caused the Raves to get TO first.

His mistake was signing for the $49 Million. Once he signed he was locked in.

I can see where he wanted Marvin Harrison money.

No...the mistake was the NFL's for allowing to waive what he and his agent did in not filing in time.....The Eagles NEVER should have been ALLOWED to have him on their team.

Don't blame the Eagles...blame the NFL.

Noone held a gun to T.O.'s head to have him sign that contract. In fact, the players union told him NOT to sign it.

What....didn't T.O. have enough evidence that the Eagles don't re-negotiate contracts? ESPECIALLY one year after you signed it?

This is about T.O. and him having feelings of entitlement. Why does he have those? Becuase the 49'ers never busted him down for yelling at his OC.....calling out Garcia and calling him names.....the NFL waiving the FA rule for him and not another player who claimed the exact same thing.

No....you are right...it's not ALL T.O.'s fault. It's T.O.'s AND the NFL's fault. Still.....T.O. is the one saying things about every QB that he has had....it's T.O. that has his own radio show, yet his agent claims the media is the one not being fair....it's T.O. that said that he was going to do this sort of thing, yet cries when the Eagles call his bluff.....

Bottom line....T.O. is the ultimate "me" guy in the ultimate "we" sport. Oil and water don't mix. T.O. and a cohesive team don't mix.

Go ahead keep telling yourself that it's not T.O.. Ignore the history that comes with T.O.. Keep telling yourself that BP can handle T.O. when he couldn't even handle a very tame AB.
