Top 10: Most Improved Players in 2016 Looks Defensive With One Exception

...This week’s Top 10 list focuses on the players who improved the most from the previous year. What we saw out of them in 2015 and what they showed in 2016 needed to be a big jump to get on this list.

One of the more notable omissions here is Ron Leary, who certainly played a lot more this past season, but wasn’t considered by the DallasCowboys.com staff writers to have made a major jump in production, only in opportunity.

So here’s a look at the 10 players picked to have made the biggest improvement from the previous year...

Beasley and Keith Smith (switched to FB) make two offensive guys to enter the top 10 most improved, although, since he was a defensive transition, I can understand the omission being what it is. At least, this suggests a legitimate possibility for the defense to improve in house.

Swaim was really coming on, and dare I say it, was looking Witten like in some situations.
He and Dak had that roll out to the right, and that play usually gained some good yards and / or picked up a first down.

Also his run blocking was missed. Hopefully both Swaim and Hanna will be 100% and by draft time, so they don't use a high draft pick on a TE, unless that TE is named OJ Howard.
