The SS / FS paradigm is becoming a relic. You really want two coverage guys out there most of the time.

Which is why I have been saying Ramsey would be a great SS. He's got the frame to put on more muscle and he already has that aggressive mentality. He can also run with any TE in the league.

I hope we draft a CB in the first four rounds but one that can return punts...

No doubt there. Jones would be the free safety and Ramsey the SS. But they would actually be a dual pair and could be played as such. Tremendous athleticism would then be on the field as a final protective line. In a passing league first, that would be a great addition.

I'd be ok with this also. And add a thumper to the middle in Matekavich. Need to have a good MLB to protect those safeties.

I'm smiling all the way to the bank, with that...

I've wanted Brandon Boykin all along but haven't heard much about him so I'm wondering if something is up.

he's only 5'9" but he's really athletic, definitely a SPARQ type guy which seems to be the direction we are headed.

I just saw on Twitter that his representation just followed the Cowboys account. Could be random.

Another guy I want, also happens to be a Georgia Bulldog like Boykin, is Bacarri Rambo. He had 235 tackles, 16 INT, and 3 TD in college but also failed 2 drug tests, which caused him to slip to the 6th round. He had some success with Washington yet they let him go. Buffalo snatched him up and he started for them, including a huge game against the Jets with two forced fumbles and a game-ending INT. Still, they chose not to tender him as a restricted free agent. Something's up but he is definitely talented and affordable. Only 25 years old.

Scandrick is an above average slot corner. He is an average outside corner. Our goal in free agency and/or draft would be to get a corner that can play the outside well enough that Scandrick can stay inside. There weren't a ton of those guys at the start of free agency. There are almost none at this point outside of Cromartie and maybe one or two others but at this stage not sure Cromartie is even considered average.

I was pimping Rambo on hete when the board was unanimous about that scrub Vaccaro at 16. They both have had meh careers but I wanted Rambo as a late pick. His tackling was horrible with washington

Been that way for some time. I'd move Carr to safety if he's not cut and put the best cover tacklers at the corner. Now having said that I'm not convinced Carr will be a good safety but I suspect overall a better safety than corner. Let him drop down to CB to play those whom he seems to neutralize well.
