That's because they signed contracts this year (and Tony is a QB). Next year, they won't be on that list.

Pretty much everyone on that list signed contracts this season, or they are a QB who signed recently. That's how this works.

That fact that Flozell is getting paid that much no matter when he signed his contract is down right disgusting.

Those guys are severly overpaid. Was surprised to see Snee that high, but he's deserving.

I'm still amazed that anyone thought Jamarcus Russell would amount to anything. Just easing out to your left or right and waiting for someone to get open doesn't work in the NFL.

What exactly does high salary have to do with winning?
Sounds to me like you work for the government. LOL

If the owner is shelling out big bucks, it should equate to winning. One would hope that the owner wouldn't pay top dollar for a bad player.

LOL! You have Owens as over paid yet left Moss off the over-paid list, even though he makes more, and has all of 3 more catches on the season than Owens, he's scored 2 less times, and he's fumbled 2 more times.

But, yeah, clearly Owens is over-paid and Moss has earned every penny.

I'm sure you'll throw out that he's not had Brady, and I'll grant him something there, but Cassell is FAR AND AWAY the better backup QB than what TO has had to deal with the last month.

Dan Snyder has debunked that myth every year he's been an owner.

Should and does are two different things. The Raiders shelled out a crap ton of money this offseason as well and we've seen just how well that worked out into equally W's.

They were discussing payroll on Mike & Mike this morning.

The Cowboys have the 2nd highest payroll.....behind the Raiders. Of course that's because of all the guys who got extended before and during the season, but still, 5-4 isn't much bang for the buck for what Jones has spent.

Two of those guys haven't played lately, and one is playing very hurt.

Number 16 on the list, most importantly.

You needed to hear Mike and Mike discuss our payroll to come to that conclusion?

We had 13 Pro Bowlers last year to go along with a 13-3 record, to go along with the fact that everyone and their mom knew we were better than the Giants.

We're not getting any bang, period. Here's the thing about football, you actually have to have a desire to beat the man in front of you and there are choice few on this team willing to do that. But as I've said many, many, many times -- football is also very much a team-oriented sport, and even a couple of chinks in the armor can make the whole thing look bad.

Hopefully, those chinks get filled when we get our full roster healthy. Unfortunately, the fact that our team can tumble so horribly with just a couple of guys going down (not including Romo, we weren't playing good before he went down) does not speak well for our coaching staff.

We are getting by on starter talent alone, when you see teams able to plug guys in and play, it's largely the product of good coaching during TC. And let's face it, this IS the NFL, staying healthy at all the key positions just isn't reality. It pretty much WAS the reality for us last year, which is why losing to the Giants hurt so much more -- we had such a great opportunity, home field, healthy team, everything. You just don't get those opportunities very often and I hope we didn't miss our one opportunity. We'll see.

..and one Presidential Elect, who is seriously eyeing that list and many like it. So next year, people, what do we all plan on buying with our shares of that money? :)
