Top 5: HOF Type Picks

Let's say the Boys tank and find themselves with a Top 5 Pick..

Which Players in this draft are HOF type players? Regardless of position, who has/is, might be, Will be a once in a lifetime talent out there?

If we pick that early I say HOF or bust, might as well trade back into the Top 10....

I would be terrified about any scouting department that came out and proclaimed any NFL Draft prospect a Hall of Fame caliber player, before seeing them play a down in the NFL.

If you're going Hall of Fame or bust every year, you might as well be trading away all your picks. The best route is to go best player available.

I would say you would be safe with Joey Bosa, Jalen Ramsey, Vernon Hargreaves III, not saying HOF just safe and BPA at this point in December 2015.

There are four or five really solid players and none of them play QB IMO. We all want to scoop up a QB and save the day instead we may end up bringing another Weeden/Cassel into the team while we pass on like some have said BPA. This is December and things are going to change at the combine I so believe in how the boys have been drafting of late it makes me love the draft again. With Jerry out of the personnel decision tree we can make some progress.

Some of these QB's will be there in the second round and from what I hear and the consensus is that none of them are worth a Top 5 pick. Many make it sound like Geoff is mid 1st to early 2nd which is where I would hope to get somebody like him.

Gotta go with a high impact skill position that early:

QB - nobody that special, wait till round 2.
WR - Competition for Dez and T-Will.
DE - Hardy may be a one year rental.
DT - the next Suh?
CB - Carr and Mo are not special.
FS - We need a ball hawk.
MLB - Neither Lee nor McClain play 16 games.
RB - The next Eric Dickerson or wait till the 3rd round.
LT - Nope we got Ty.

You gotta spend it on somebody with HOF potential or trade down...

Joey Bosa DE, Jalen Ramsey CB/LB/FS(may remind the boys of Woody), Vernon Hargreaves III CB, and Laremy Tunsil OT(coming off injury think Gurley like talent in OT). I believe in December before the draft this represents the cream of the crop. As I have said before all these guys need to stay away from bad decisions for a couple of months and their livelihoods are assured because of their on field talent.

Those MJ highlights at RB look better than Elliott and Henry...and many backs in the NFL. Trying to resist the hyperbole but I'm getting a Bo Jackson vibe when I watch him. Okay not Bo. Nobody's Bo.

I'd be real tempted to put him there in a preseason game and see what happens. But then he's so great at being a LB.
