Hell, I was disturbed enough with the original Night of the Living Dead. I saw that movie as a kid and was scared to death watching zombies throw around human intestine like it was a toy.

One violent movie I haven't seen mentioned is the Sam Peckinpah's famous The Wild Bunch. You'll never see a more visual gattling gun experience.

Hardboiled also by John Woo.

Two of the best pure action movies ever made.
