1. American History X
2. Braveheart

The original "Dawn of the Dead" should be on that list somewhere.

but starship troopers was violent and gory as hell
mostly bugs dying and their "blood" but it was still violent and gory

Hell, I was disturbed enough with the original Night of the Living Dead. I saw that movie as a kid and was scared to death watching zombies throw around human intestine like it was a toy. :eek:

One violent movie I haven't seen mentioned is the Sam Peckinpah's famous The Wild Bunch. You'll never see a more visual gattling gun experience.

A few films that has got to be mentioned when violent movies are mentioned is.

The Killer by John Woo

Hardboiled also by John Woo.

Two of the best pure action movies ever made.

The one segment in Passion of the Christ was pretty violent as well.

Not sure about violent but the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre scared the crap out of me. :eek:
