Rank 'Em.

1. DeMarcus Ware - Best Active OLB.
2. Jason Witten - Best Active TE.
3. Tony Romo - Elite QB, future HoF'er if he continues this play for a few more years
4. Jay Ratliff - Beast, need I say more?
5. Miles Austin - I believe he has potential to be an elite WR in the NFL, maybe on the level of a Michael Irvin or a Bob Hayes, and he is starting to get there.

Agree completely on points 1,2 and 4. As for Romo, I'm a big fan, but HOF is a big jump at this point. Let's reopen after he gets his first ring (which I'm confident he will get at some point.)

The Austin point is way over the top. He's been a revelation so far, but I'd say he's closer to being the next Alvin Harper (the good version, not the bust who played for the Bucs) than the next Irvin or Hayes.

Actually, I'd replace Jenkins with Leonard Davis, for the time being. I also think you could make an argument for Gurode to be in the top 5. Hard to pick just a top 5. If I had a top 10, it would look something like this (based on current and past play, not potential):

Ware
Romo
Witten
Ratliff
Davis
Gurode
Jenkins
Newman
Barber
Adams/Bradie James

Guys like Austin, Roy Williams, Felix, Choice, haven't been around long enough or shown enough over a period of time to be ranked, but I believe they will.
I think Brooking has had a tremendous impact on the team, but hard to put him with these guys after only 8 games with the team. The same can be said for Sensabaugh, although he's also had a tremendous positive impact on the team as well. I like him a lot.

It seems Ware is the undisputed #1 asset to our team from all posts thus far.

Yep, 20 sacks in a season will do that. Not to mention pucking a ball out of the air 2 yards after it was thrown and taking it to the house.

Dude is a stud.

Adams is seriously underrated by this board. He might be the best LT in the NFL right now.

There's less than a handfull of LTs that don't require help by a back or TE on a regular basis and he's one of them.

1. Demarcus Ware - Nothing needs to be said.
2. Jay Ratliff - Insatiable and almost unblockable.
3. Jason Witten - Complete player, yards should pick up with new WR threat.
4. Tony Romo - The same big plays, fewer bad ones, stock rising.
5. Kyle Kosier - Mr. Consistent on the offensive line makes everything click.

Next in Line: Mike Jenkins - Confidence is boiling, emerging ballhawk we need.

Four are pretty obvious - stellar players for most of the past 3 years:

Romo
Ware
Witten
Ratliff

After that, I would put the newcomers:

Jenkins
Austin

Then there is a mix of solid veterans:

Bigg
Flo
Gurode
TNew

I mostly agree, but he's most effective when he can trust the guard lined up beside him. When Kosier was out, he was doing too much to help Procter block inside. With Kosier healthy, the level of trust is more apparent. He knows inside blocking assignments are getting done and his entire attention can be devoted towards protecting Romo's blindside. Adams is a very good left tackle, but I think that Kosier makes him an even better one.

Good points.

And I also concur with the posts regarding Adams. I think it's a shame that because of his penchant to false start he has become a punching bag of sorts for fans. He's had a heck of a career here, and he hasn't even really begun to wind down just yet.

There's some guys in this league who give him trouble (Trent Cole, maybe?), but he routinely shuts down so many of the top-tier pass rushers. Osi has never even sacked Romo, right?

Ryan Clady, Jake Long, Joe Thomas... these are only a few guys I would take over Flozell and not because they are young.

Flozell is regressing and is having more trouble with speed rushers than ever. He also effectively kills at least one drive a game with either a hold/false start.

Would I take Flo over a lot of the LT's in the game? Sure, but placing him at #1 surely seems like a stretch at this point.
