Every yr alot of players overacheive and some stink it up, thats just the fact of the game. Some players just do what they do every game every yr, and others tale off. Here's my list

QB's

Top Notch
Tom Brady: He's one of the top QB's every yr, but this yr might be something special. 16-0? New England went out and bought a Championship, and if they dont win it. This might be the biggest choke in history. Up and down the team, they're the best. But WR; Randy Moss, Donte Stallworth, Wes Welker, Reche Caldwell, Jabar Jaffney, Chad Jackson, Kelly Washington. I think we might be looking at a serious 19-0 team here.

Bust
Matt Schaub: He's supposed save the Texans. But the truth is they're in a worse spot then they were in 06. No WR opposite Andre Johnson, and still no OL. A aging Ahmad Green wont be a stud in this offense either. I think Houston is going to find out that David Carr wasnt the problem. The lack of a OL is.

Underdog
Jay Cutler: Wth the addition of a TE, and Travis Henry Cutler seems right to show the NFL he is indeed in the same class as Leinart and Young. Cutler did very good without a running game, with Henry in the backfield he's going to do some damage this year.

RB

Top Notch
Ladanian Tomlinson: He's the king, and the best player in football. Thats all you need know, until somebody can do what he does, nobody can compete with him.

Bust
Jamal Lewis: He's going to find out playing for the Browns, sometimes money isnt enough to take your mind off the losing, and the pain. Sucka.

Underdog
Willis McGahee: He'll enjoy running behind one of the better OL's in the NFL. His days of no gains in Buffalo will let him breakout. The Ravens will benefeit from Mcgahee, as much as him from the Ravens.

WR

Top Notch
Terrell Owens: Some might call this a homer pick, you can suck it. Without everybody calling for every pass that fell to the ground a TO drop the guy put up huge numbers. From what he's showed in OTA's embarassing Newman on a regular basis, i think he's ready to show Chad and the rest of the league who the man is. I got my popcorn ready.

Bust
Andre Johnson: I think he'll have a similar yr as last yr. A very good player with no supporting cast. He might have alot of catches, but again likelast yr for 4 and 5 yrd gains. Sad thing for a very good player.

Underdog
Vincent Jackson: McCardell is gone, and Jackson came on as Phillips go-to-guy at the end of the year. Can somebody say Breakout yr?

TE

Top Notch
Antonio Gates: He's a overgrown WR playing TE. It's just not fair. Like with LT, until somebody can do better, theres no need to talk about why. He just is.

Bust
Bubba Franks: The money this guy is making, and he's gone downhill this fast. Just boggles the mind. I'm depressed just writing this.

Underdog
Kellen Winslow: Last yr he showed by everybody wanted him in the draft. He's getting into the Gates category. Me personally i think he would be better then Gates if he was on a contender.

OL

Top Notch
Marcus McNeil: Back Problems?! You wanna talk about Back Problems?!Funny how you dont hear about it anymore. The next Erik Williams.

Bust
Flozell Adams: Injuries are catching up to him, and it seems like them nagging injuries might be too much for him

Underdog
Jamaal Brown: Guy is up and coming. Last yr his first yr playing LT, was awsome. I say him and McNeil will be neck and neck. Besides this leagues needs a new generation of OL.

DE

Top Notch
Jason Taylor: Guy is just a playmaking machine. He's not the best at anything, but across the board nobody has a better overall game. In the dictionary under difference maker it should have a picture of him.

Bust
Jared Allen: After having a great year last yr he gets busted for roids. He's out for awhile this yr, and i dont think he's ever better then what he was. I see alot of disappointment this yr.

Underdog
Robert Geathers: He did what he does, once given a chance last yr. Another double digit sack and its all gravy. Look for this guy this year.

DT

Top Notch
John Henderson: The most physical DT in the game. He's just a giant with ability. Doesnt hurt that he'll benext to Stroud either.

Bust
Jimmy Kennedy: Denver seems to want everyody elses trash. For the past 5 yrs, they've taken the worst DL off bad teams and have gotten nothing. this wont be any different.

Underdog
Kris Jenkins: He's due to make a comeback. Wether he stays in Carolina or they trade him. I think he's going to make everybody remember him in a big way.

LB

Top Notch
Demarcus Ware: I have a feeling you're going to see ware blitz maybe 99.9% of the time. And i see alot of good things coming from him.

Bust
London Fletcher: 5'10 playing middle linebacker on team(deadskins) who have no DT's LOL. Can you say floormat?

Underdog
Patrick Willis: This years Demeco Ryans. Willis will be more of a playmaker and he'll end up being a leader of that frisco defense.

CB

Top Notch
Champ Bailey: IS THERE ANY DOUBT?

Bust
Nate Clements: Sadly he's here because he'll never live up to that contract. 80 million worth of production, and over his career, he hasnt been a production guy. He's solid, but nothing special.

Underdog
Richard Marshall: Was Very good last yr in his rookie yr. Only getting better, and will have a solid yr replacing Chris Gamble as a starter for the Panthers.

S

Top Notch
Adrian Wilson: The Most UNDERRATED player in the NFL. The guy just never makes mistakes, and is all over the field. He makes plays wether it be INT's Fumbles, Sacks TFL. It doesnt matter, He's the best in the game.

Bust
Roy Williams: Dallas can say they're going to put him closer to the LOS, whatever. An opposing coach will force him into coverage. And when they do, we'll see the same Roy making stupid mistakes, and making up excuses afterwards. OVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRATED.

Underdog
Ken Hamlin: With a negative there always has to be a positive. Ken Hamlin just reminds me of George Teague. In every way, Before Teague came to the Cowboys they were saying the same thing. He was a decent player, but he had too many weaknesses, and he was just average. He came to Dallas and became the Last Line of Defense. Hamlin also seems to be the leader in the secondary that Roy can never be.

K/P

Top Notch
Stephen Gostkowski: Will the next Vinatieri please stand up?

Bust
Mike Nuggent: Was supposed to be the next big thing, but the guy was so inconsistent last yr, that theJets almost released him during the season.

Underdog
Mat McBriar: Only reason he isnt the Top Notch is because Kickers win games.

This patriot wet dream stuff is a joke. They have some serious concerns on the D at LB (besides Thomas) and in the secondary. And then of course we have Moss: just how long can he control himself? I have no doubt that for the first half of the season he will be fine- but after that? When the pressure of the playoffs hit- that is when he will go into the tank.

This was a good idea, and interesting to read. However, you really should have thought it through some more.

Jared Allen was not suspended for a steroids violation. He was suspended for violating the substance abuse policy, more directly for multiple DUIs.

Jimmy Kennedy is already a bust. Noone's really expecting great things in Denver.

You're also about 4 years late on Bubba Franks.

Your opinions on the safety position is laughable. I can handle some maladjusted angst directed towards Roy - it's not fresh, but what else is new? But putting him down while lauding Adrian Wilson? Snore. He's been underrated so long, seeing underrated next to his name is overrated. You want a real underrated player? Try Ty Warren. Not the one-dimensional 4th LB from Arizona.

There is no way Demarcus Ware blitzes that much. We're still going to see him in coverage a decent amount. And not because Phillips is an idiot, or just sits at home dreaming up ways to have his greatest pass-rushing threat chasing TEs and WRs. No, it's because Ware is a legit "5-tool" player, to borrow an expression, and it would be foolish not to utilize all of them.

They added talent to their LB and Secondary and they don't need Moss. If he gets out of hand, cut him. Barring a major injury to Brady, I'd be shocked if they weren't in the Superbowl.

No, they don't need moss- but he will certainly be a much bigger distraction then TO was during the season. And they did add Thomas to the LBs- but that was not enough. Same with the secondary. This will all show up late in the season.

The Patriots still have Bruschi and Vrabel at ILB and a VERY underrated Colvin to pair with Thomas at OLB. I understand that Bruschi and Vrabel are getting up there in years, but they can still play. Their starting LBs are not a problem.

And honestly, the Pats have never had an exceptional secondary. After Ty Law got hurt in 2004, I am pretty sure they were playing Belichick's dad as the nickel corner...and that season ended with them hoisting the Lombardi for the third time.

As far as Moss is concerned...everything they get from him will essentially be a plus this year. Brady has NEVER had good WRs to throw to, and they won 3 Super Bowls. If Moss doesn't perform, this is still the best group of WRs that Brady has had since he has been in the league, IMO. Personally, I think he will have a great year. He never became a HUGE problem until his teams started losing. I'm not making excuses for him, I am just saying that I don't see this Pats team losing much. Not much losing = Moss at his finest. That's a scary thought for the rest of the league.

I actually think Matt Schaub will do well in Houston. Carr never seem to display the leadership with the Texans and while some of the problems have been due to poor blocking some has been the results of Carr holding on to the ball too long. I think Schaub is going to be a good fit for Kubiak system

Kris Jenkins underrated? Based on what? 11 games of awesomeness? What about the multiple years of injuries and getting pwned?

This is laughable. London is one of the most consistent players in the league.

Right. Just like Archuleta was, right? Remember how great he was for your team?

London is an ancient small linebacker who is now playing on a team with a crappy DL (and a crappy 2nd year player playing WLB that your team over-payed for). He'll be decent. But the Skins are going to ask way too much out of him, and there is no way he is worth the amount of money you gave to this old pipsqueak. I'm amazed you guys would shell that out for Fletcher but not Briggs.

While I might not agree with all of the opinions, I appreciate the work you put into it.

And it gives us all something to talk about in this dull part of the NFL calender.

No Witten on your list of TEs?
I'd say he'd be top-notch during Romo's first complete season as a starter.
