this was a 2013 style game today. i thought those days were over? at this point in the process, it should be way behind us. how did today and last week (2013) happen back to back?

As I've mentioned before, at this point, I've had to condition myself to not let the games negatively affect me anymore. If we win, amazing, if we lose, then whatever.

As disappointing as today was, I'm already over it.
I'm with you SD, the last drive I already knew what was going to happen and just shook my head. I am so glad I was fortunate to see all the great Cowboy teams, I really believe I will never see another.

Tough being a member of this board.

We'll win the division and be in the playoffs and all of these threads/posts will mean NOTHING.

Playoffs?

With our schedule?

With this defense?

you guys who saw the old cowboy championship teams are lucky. sometimes i do ask myself why i’m even a cowboy fan? even though i’ll never stop supporting them it’s quite hard to see this crap so constant in recent history.

i became a fan around 2001 when quincy came in. ugh. thank god Romo made 06’-15’ watchable. i do wonder though if we will ever win the big game again...........

It will be well worth it for you when/if it happens, makes it that much more special. I barely remember the 70's but the 90's were great :flagwave:

First off, how does this Cowboys team make it past Philadelphia? They have a good defense as well...

Guys, I really believe we have some of the most dedicated fans in America. We don't deserve the results we are receiving & don't believe if this is not a successful campaign nothing will change. Status quo has become a norm & we are powerless to do anything to stop it. So buckle your belt & keep drinking your favorite beverage for the same final results each season bring us.

We may have dedicated fans but they're really, really stupid.

I mean the majority of NFL fans aren't particularly smart when it comes to the game, but man we take the cake.

I remember the glory days. To be honest last year was our chance. We built that team for Romo. When we got the final piece. What did Garret and Jerry do. . . they did what the rest of the fan base did they turned their back on him. So NO CHAMPIONSHIP this decade. But keep buying the jerseys

At least my fantasy team is 5-0. Ps I picked up Aaron Jones and started him.

The only hope for this franchise is a total, embarrassing, humiliating, laughable collapse. Fans putting paper bags over their ala the Aints fans (Can you still get paper bags?).

We must be the butt of every joke, the check-mark on everyone's schedule as an easy win. The players must give up on their coach, Cat's and dogs sleeping with each other.

Ego and money are truly Jerry's only motivators and well we can't stop him from making money, so let's make him a bigger joke than he already is. That is If you want the status quo to change, if not, carry on.

Jerry's been living off Jimmy's success for almost 25yrs. He's got us all thinking we're going back to those glory years someday. It's the only reason he still has his puppet as HC. He wants to win it "his way"

Can't let another team get Garrett and have him successful there after he has been learning on the job here. That's Jerry's excuse. lol

Some of us were fortunate enough to witness the last glory years in the 90's. I feel for you that are too young to remember those times and have had to endure the last 20 years. Remember how you all felt last year for most of the year? We had that feeling and more for several years in a row.
I'm old enough to remember those glory years. I was living in Germany at the time and watched one of our Super Bowls in a jam packed NCO club on base with a game start time of 2am. I walked out of there at like 6am floating on cloud 9.

The Dez and Romo contracts killed any chance we had of building a good defense while Dak is still on his first contract. We could have gotten completely out of Dez' contract and signing bonus in March 2016 after Dez broke his foot and we didn't do it. That decision is haunting this defense right now.

We also have no excuse to have such an ineffective #2 WR. I couldn't care less if T Williams can block on first down. If you can't catch the ball or get open against single coverage vs a team's #3 corner, you don't belong on an NFL team.
