Beas is a better receiver than Harris. It's not even debatable. Harris started games alongside one of the best receivers in the game last year with his starting QB and he was really average. Beas had a better season as a receiver with a backup QB and he was forced to play out of position without Dez as well.

Beas is actually quite a weapon when we can play offense like we want to play it.

Harris was also a below average return man in 2014. Whitehead was actually an upgrade over 2014 Harris in the return game once he got going.

Wait a minute now. Harris was a good player here. Very good punt returner. Very good special teams guy and when he was out there on offense he made plays. I think its silly to "rue" signing him over Beasley though. Beasley had a down year IMO but i'll judge him when Romo comes back because when he was here with Romo he and Romo were money on 3rd down. Nearly unstoppable.

I really like Beasley, and I think Lucky did better thatn expected for a rookie. I just question their durability.

Eagan is 5 -foot-11, 192-pounds, he is not exactly small

We have a dark horse... and my new pet cat...

It is a lower level of competition, but I'm pretty sure those moves with that speed is going shake guys at the pro level too. Romo is going to have a lot of new toys to play with this year. The next three months are going to be brutal...

I like it! Looks like Beasley's future replacement... Not that I'm unhappy with Cole, but once he gets to his contract year he should probably be able to get more money from a different team, much like Harris to the Giants...

Both Lucky and Beasley are on notice! This kid's a baller! Shades of Danny Amendola... And just like Danny, he might not make our team, but this is an NFL player...

I actually think he has a Miles Austin/Hines Ward look to him. A WR with not a ton of speed, but good route runner that is tough to wrap up due to having good balance.

Please leave race out of discussions. I let it go because it was innocent and I'm not terribly PC. But when it persists it almost always turns problematic and people end up getting dinged. We don't ding much these days and I'd just as soon not do it at all. So....thanks.

Beasley is not a great WR. And he sucks at punt returns. It IS debatable who is better between he and Harris at WR. I would rather have Harris. Water under the bridge now. But our receiving corps other than Dez is very close to a joke.

I think Harris is a better outside receiver but Beasley is very difficult to cover inside. He needs more looks IMO.

He looks faster than Beas and has the quicks too. I'll have to look up his 40 time. Love those one handed catches with a defender dragging on the other arm!

As I said---in 2014 Harris was an awesome in kick coverage, average returner and an average receiver. He wasn't worth an investment based on his production in his contract year. Even last year, Harris was a pretty average receiver when you consider the opportunity he had once injuries kicked in for the Giants. Beas far outperformed him in a worst situation IMO.

I think Harris is a good player---I just think sometimes people have a misconception on his value based on one game where he had a gaping hole to return from. I was actually present at that game, my buddy who is a Giants fan called the touchdown as soon as Harris caught the ball and prior to that game, he was a pretty average returner.

He has good speed, no one catches him from behind !
I like it, was not impressed with our kick and punt returns last year or 2014, so maybe
this guy can play that role, plus ST, and a little WR.

Speed matters, and I wonder if he is faster than beasely and whitehead ??

He's a legit 4.4 guy so nobody will be catching him.

The thing about Bease is he doesn't seem like a RKG. Constantly distracted with twitter spats, his body has barely changed at all since he joined the team. Not saying he isn't a contributor, but he seems like a guy who does just enough to get by.

Our undrafted FA's suck.

Jerry probably done taking risks after Farmer last year.

I'm interested in seeing Eagin on returns. I'm not unhappy with what Lucky provides there and look forward to seeing if he can make a step up, but I'm always up for competition and Eagin seems to have some pretty good movement skills

Just curious if you felt that way about the UDFAs we've brought in who've made the team in the past.

For me, there always seems to be a surprise player like a Miles Austin, Cole Beasley or Lucky Whitehead, so I try not to judge the UDFA class until I see what comes of it. I know several fans were a lot higher on several of the other receivers we brought in last year while Lucky proved to be the only one worth keeping.
