Did anyone notice this kid getting beat when he played after Killer's injuries?

I know he's a toothpick, but I think he might be our 2nd best safety if we hold onto him. He's definitely not a liability as a tackler, despite his startling smallishness.

He barely played..it's hard to get a view on the guy. He might be good, but training camp should tell us. Courtney Brown and Watkins are trash so he has a chance...by default. He'll be playing backup at best because Sean Smith will be starting of course.

Apparently he was super-productive at Georgia. It's amazing he was drafted at all at 170 pounds. Shows it's not instincts or athleticism that he's short on.

Could have just said 'lack of size' ya know....

I liked what I saw of him. He seemed to be around the ball when it reached the secondary. Couldn't expect much out of him against the run since he weighs as much as a high school RB but he seems to have range. Played well on Special Teams. Maybe an off-season under Joe will bulk him up a little bit and he can get some PT in our sub packages. I think either he or Pat Watkins will get cut though...

I really like him. If he were 15 pounds heavier, he'd be a heck of a player. And I think he's pretty good anyway.

He's one of the reasons I look forward to this draft, because he was a heck of a pickup for a late-season find off another team's scrap heap. If we find a few guys who are as smart, aggressive, and physical as him with more talent, we'll be in great shape.

i think his strong suit is special teams; then possibly in goal line situations coverage where things are tight, and he can use his quickness

Like others have said, he should have a great shot to make this team almost by default.

I sure didn't think the young man did anything to hurt himself. I was really proud of him and found myself wishing a few more guys got as much out of their skills as he did his.

Looks like someone hit a nerve.

Stash, I'm sure she was thinking 'it just lacks size,' even if she unthinkingly said that it was 'startlingly small.'

All I know is that I missed Roy back there after watching our SS play last year. Didn't really notice this guy too much.

Honestly I didn't even notice the guy on the field... I don't know if that's good or bad. I definitely think Dallas will address the safety position in the draft. I believe they will also take another CB, never can have too many quality DB's.

Haha he was a what, 4th or 5th string safety picked up late in the year? He also rocked people on special teams. He's a keeper imo

Slate,

If your boy Sean Smith runs a 4.3, he is going in round 1.

If he runs a 4.4, why would you want to make him a safety. I thought he played CB.

he does play CB, and many teams are going to want him to play there

and more than likely he'll want to play there
