Trade back for more picks?

The only problem with trading back, as OP mentioned, is that several teams are probably thinking the same thing. With that said, as a rule the opportunity is always there, just whether you kid true value for your pick.
Personally.....I know we are desperate for defensive help but I'm scouting every dam thing for the BEST PLAYER IN MY RANGE regardless of which side of the ball. That way, I'm prepared for anything. I do think there is a better chance of trading back the 2nd first rounder.

I fully expect us to trade one of our firsts for a package of Day 2/3 picks.
You’re going to get your most value by doing that with your 1st pick. But do you want to do that if there is one of the few 1st round talents sitting there on your board?
I don’t see Jerry trading away the GB pick, because then people will say he only got one 1st-plus for Micah. I don’t see Jerry’s ego letting that happen.

I’m definitely not against it, I just don’t see it happening because of Jerry. Let alone actually finding a trading partner in this draft.

I'm not so sure on that.

You can consider this draft as just missing a 3rd round pick.
The 2nd 1st can be viewed as a early day 2 pick with the 5th year option.
We are going to see more draft risers as the SR game/combine/pro days make some blossom.

The talent seems to be good this year in the first, including positions like off ball LB, and edge rushers. Some thing this team needs both of.

With our draft pick slots, we aren't picking #2 overall and you could start to guess who may jump up to take the #2 QB or best non QB right when the season ends. Any trade down isn't going to be realized till that Thursday of the draft. Is getting pick # 54 and 67 worth it dropping from #15 or #22(for example)? Basically a late 2nd and late 3rd is bad value for a 1st.
All hypothetical at this stage but I think there should be enough quality talent in the 1st to just stay put.

fixating on value is a slippery slope
Even Jimmy said his chart was only a guide and not etched in Stone by the Finger of God

use them to get players your draft board is high on
