I thought yesterdays problem versus the Tampa run was due to both ILBs having poor games. "IE" not filling the gaps they were supposed to, which is the premise of the 3-4.

Should have got Ray Lewis.Period.Keith Brookings?

It was only a matter of time before something REALLY stupid would be posted regarding the Defense. Ladies and gentlemen, that time has arrived.

:lmao:

That is wrong on so many levels.

Why do I love it so much?

Last week, it was probably trade Barber for a WR. This week, it is trade Barber for a NT. Next week, it might be trade Barber for a CB.

Keep Barber right where he is, in a Cowboy iniform.

On a side note: the guy who started ahead of Barber in college, #1 draft pick Maroney, is #3 or #4 on NEs depth chart.

Ouch I just came in from finishing the yard..to see my balls getting busted. So no one would trade Barber. Got it, but its not entirely a stupid idea. You can't have a steak in every position and the Cowboys have 3 starting RBS on theirs. The have alot of needs with the biggest one being a big NT or even an extra OLBer.

You trade guys like Choice, bro, not Barber. That's why your getting your balls busted.

I'm sorry, yeah it is. I would trade Choice, but not Barber, and not for a NT just for the tired argument of move Ratliff to DE. Our DEs are fine, Ratliff does not want to move, he likes NT and went to the Pro Bowl last year.

This is true. The odds of us being able to keep all 3 running backs is slim to none. One if not two will have to be traded eventually, otherwise we'll lose them in free agency.

Barber is the obvious choice since you could probably get an over valued pick for him or a player who could contribute now.

Not saying to do it, just saying logically it makes sense.

Look at the patriots, they've traded players away when it makes sense, and they trade to get players when it makes sense.

Considering the cap hit, it makes the LEAST amount of sense. Especially when we need all the cap space we can get if we want to re-sign Ware THIS season.

I think the big problem was that our gap responsibility was poor yesterday. Ends were taking outside lanes when they should have gone inside, ILBs were nowhere to be found.

Even if trading Barber for a NT wasn't a phenomenally stupid idea, I don't think it would solve the problem - i.e. getting a bigger NT isn't going to make our defensive ends play the right gap.
