Are both QB gone at 4 ? Lets say Rams go with Wentz, although still not sure they don't take Goff he may sell more jerseys. Then by some miracle Cleveland makes a good decision and takes Tunsil. If SD takes Ramsey then yes one of the QB fall to us. It is our best case scenario to trade back.

I'm running to the podium to take Goff if he's available. I think "best case scenario" is securing the hardest position to obtain in sports for the next several years.

The thing is .... how often do you get to pick a top 5 player? The Cowboys haven't been this high in how many years? I don't know if you should give that up. Especially for guys you're just going to lose to free agency during the future Jacoby Brissett-Nick Foles quarterback controversy.

You need guys who are really special players, too.

Sorry. The Zoners believe that this current squad is an elite team but just was snake bitten by injuries in 2015 so we really do not need a High Draft Pick. Just trade the pick for as many draft picks as possible in order to build a dynasty for the near future. We had a fluke year in 2015 so just assume the Boys were a playoff team in 2015 with a late 1st Round Draft Pick. All the draft picks we acquire from a trade down will be great for this Franchise. Just give Garrett enough RKG players and he will be the next great NFL Head Coach unless the injury bug hits the team again.

Jerrah disagrees with you because he has been following my posts. Maybe you should too. LOL I'm flattered Jerry.

I totally agree we would be a good spot to trade, but if you like Tunsil that much, why trade that far down?

Hypothetical, of course, but: They got an offer they couldn't refuse. They didn't planing on moving that far back, and in a perfect world, would get this much value without having to move that far back. But here they are. (And stoked about it.) Now they can get the guy they'd have gone with anyway, but got an extra 1st and 2x 3rds (for a 4th/6th) in the process.

If they wanted to move that far back, you're right; it doesn't make sense. If they were just saying yes to a mafia offer they didn't expect to get, it could make a ton of sense to now trade up.

But as a Cowboys fan, I'd rather have picks in this draft than some 3rd rounder a year from now.

Plus the third in 2017 is going to be the comp pick they get, so it is almost a 4th- around 102

Tunsil is available at 4
Titans give 15 and Rams two 2's for 4
Titans get the player they would have taken at 1 plus salary relief, an extra 1 and two 3's

Cowboys take Lynch and saturate the defense with 4 top 70 picks or
Drop down with Arizona or Denver and end up with 7 top 100 picks and play into the strength of the draft the 2-3 rounds

Idk If Titans do it. They do have more ammunition to move around but they can do a lot if they stay put And for a young team they need allp the premier players they can get.

Jason la Canfora is reporting the Rams are looking to get back into the top 10, now four may be too rich but they want to move up for someone!

They lost 4 Free Agents and only signed one. Since they lost JJenkins at 12m APY they will get a 3rd pick for him.

They give comp picks based on $$$. Per player not cumulative.
12 million is not that much.

I suspect that is partly true, but there are 6 OT prospects in this draft that purportedly may go in the first round. If OT is their target they aren't forced to trade back up to get one. They will probably be able to get the 3rd one at #15, and give up nothing at all to do it. Therefore, it really depends on how much better they grade Tunsil to be than the rest to warrant a trade up.

I agree trading up might be an option as you propose. But it is unknown if they would pull the trigger on that trade up. The uncertainty is what makes this time of year so fun.
