The Bengals really need a LB. Really bad.
So I say, let's trade them Carp for Housh? And if that's not enough, just something around those two?
Any thoughts?

haha I'd loooove to get Housh for Carp. I doubt they'd do that though. Seriously doubt that.

we could really use a more experienced backup QB...lets trade them Burnett for Carson Palmer

that's completely different.
Housh isn't exactly young. Carp is. We need WR depth, they need a LB period. They still have Johnson. Their offense isn't as explosive as it is because of Housh.

Not getting a LB could absolutely destroy them this season. They have like 3 on the roster.

Carp and a pick isn't that unreasonable.

I don't think so. I like "How's Your Vanilla"... but I want to give Carpenter a tad more time to pan out.

Besides, those kind of trades almost never happen anymore. Not that it's a bad idea... but just highly unlikely.

I think they mainly happen when a team like Cincy runs out of LB and they start looking around for help. In other words, they'd have to contact us and give up a premium for the player they want.

Besides, Carpenter is hurt right now, even though it's a small injury. I think they need a lot of help and they need it ASAP.

I don't think Carson would enjoy being relegated to a backup position. He probably views himself as a starter and he wouldn't be that in Dallas.

This thread isn't serious is it?

I don't care how much need the Bengals have... there's no way they're trading one of their stars for our trash.

what's funny is when i heard cincy was down so far in LBs my thought was "what will they give us for carp and would carp fit in their system well?"

Yea, because right now, Housh is going to play LB when another guy gets injured. Carp would be better than probably all but one(maybe) of ther LBs if given a little time.

I think they said not a single LB that started the season is playing right now. Or one of them. That's awful. Carp is young with potential. Not "trash yet." And if reading was part of your agenda, then you would see that I didn't say straight up and that's final.

A more realistic trade scenario would be Carp for a second-day pick... and I don't think that would be a wise decision on our end. We might as well let the kid play out his rookie contract and see if he cant turn it around sometime.

Also, keep in mind that Carp is currently playing through an injury. I'm sure if the Bengals are going to trade for an LB, they'd want a healthy one.

That trade wouldn't fly, even in bug-ridden, glitchy, piece of crap, Madden 08

The AI in Madden has gotten a lot better, I doubt it would even make that bad of a trade.

How about Housh for Dexter Coakley

I would trade Glenn Carano, Scott Laidlaw, and Aaron Kyle for TJ Houshmanzadeh or Fitzgerald.........:lombardi:
