He signed a tender...and Yea, it was North of $2 million...see if you can go direct to him quitting and losing out on it.
Now see if you can start using your own reasoning abilities and not be a negative drain.
Do you work in some weird industry where they pay your annual salary in a lump sum at the beginning of the year? Sure, he signed his tender giving him a salary "north of $2 million" this season. He hasn't pocketed any bit of that and won't until week 1 (where he will get 1/17th of it).
Not sure where you made the deduction that I wanted him to quit. I'm sure he will report in time to not miss a single pay check. What I am sure of is that he and his agent would prefer a long term lucrative deal and that's going to be hard to come by if he's at best the 6th lineman and worst inactive some weeks since he doesn't have positional flexibility. Maybe he gets lucky and there's an injury to Martin or Collins and he gets to play. Heading into next offseason with little to no game tape available for a year and a half isn't going to make it easy to get that one big contract.
Sorry if you feel that reality is a negative drain. At least you have your year's salary already in the bank to spend. Me, I'll have to go into work tomorrow and I believe I do get paid since it's the 31st.
