He's just a stubborn old goat who refuses to adapt. He got this defense from Tony Dungy and it works great when your working with HOF and pro bowl talent. He had Sapp, Simeon Rice, Booger Mcfarland..... Brooks....lynch.....Barber.....that defense was stacked. He is basically the defensive version of Garret.

They could have had a dance instructor as a successful DC with that talent!

FYI, Geno Atkins is a pass rushing type DT, not the big 1-tech that fans want.

Building exclusively through the draft rarely ever works. In recent times, The Broncos, rams, and eagles have all loaded up on top tier free agents to make a run. The Patriots are constantly churing their roster trying to improve. Standing pat does not work.

Your idea would be better except the Panthers are 4-2 meaning they don't have a reason to trade away McCoy.

Atkins had 10 sacks last year and has 3 now
For a mid rnd pick I’d be on him like risen on Wentz

Happy to have him for a 3rd. Prevent the QB from stepping up in that hole.

Of course... solid response. Just a player I think would make a difference. Honestly, I didn't realize they were 4 and 2. An oversight on my part. They are not going anywhere, but I doubt they would part with him.

But that should be what we want. We lost Crawford and Hill is going to need a red shirt year.

The 1-tech crowd also loves fullbacks and other nearly extinct species.

No way they trade for a better SS. They are stubborn with certain players.

DT should be a need and probably won’t cost much. But something tells me they think they are just fine with their guys.

Coach Rod will just coach them up more. Problem solved.

That's what sucks. Our weak links are areas they slobber all over. A guy like Atkins won't be the right "Fit" because, well, we just love our guys! Heath is a huge liability but they love him.

Actually its a fact that Rod picks the personnel on the DL. The cowboys don't draft anyone he doesn't want. Just ask Sharif Floyd. They don't sign anyone he doesn't want. Go look at the leaked draft boards missing 1 tech defensive tackles. How are you so oblivious?
