News: Trade possibilites

Rod does deserve a lot of bashing considering that the weakness against the run has been an issue for the last 5 years. Yet we still persist with this nonsense of not having a space eating DT in the middle.
We were a top 5 run defense last year.
And have never been outside the top 18 in that timespan.

This doesnt hold water

Makes too much sense. Texas kid, strong as an ox, owns all the TX high school powerlifting records. He's also a UFA after this season. I would not mind signing him to a 3 yr/15M type of deal. But like I said, it makes too much sense so they won't do it.

He hasn't done much tho. I wouldn't mind taking a flyer but wouldn't sign him to anything unless he makes an impact. He's similar to the guy we just signed Justin Hamilton.

I wish Gurley had read that memo before last years playoff game

The Seahawks got it in our playoff game against them :/, who was the #1 bulk rush offense last year.

But yeah, the top 5 criteria includes the Rams game, sadly I should have expected this kind of response from you. Using 1 or 2 games > using all the info we have available for the season in your mind, which is sad.

And if you were capable of critical thinking you'd know the Rams did get the memo, that's why they studied our run defense tape to the point they were able to find tells from our formations/stances.

Really bad post.

Well. you've got a point. I guess the Rams Divisional playoff game where they rushed for 275 yards, that was less than a year ago, is a pretty obscure example. I should have referenced the first 3 games this year when we faced real offenses. My most sincere apologies.

No need to apologize, I'm only here to educate and I've done my part. You've now grown as a poster.

But yeah, referencing the first three games of this year when discussing 2018 would be another failed post on your part and not even 8am yet. Keep it up!

I understand the idea of saving high draft picks for the future. But, let me lay this out for everyone saying this right now: Spending a first and maybe a future third for Jamal Adams will get us a far better SS than we are likely to draft. I believe the addition of Adams will go a long way to making the D better, both against the run and pass.

Especially since we've made such major changes to the Defense this year too. Just plain silly to expect that we would be the same. Additionally our current Ranking of 15th against the rush is just an anomaly and in now way shape or form represents the spanking we took from the Rams last year. We got them where we want them!

Just keep digging lol

Geno Atkins last year had an All Pro caliber season but Aaron Donald was just the best player in football and Fletcher Cox was a beast.

Otherwise, Atkins had that caliber of a season. Atkins is the only player on that Dline, even with a serviceable Carlos Dunlap at DE.

Bengals put AJ Green, who's their best offensive player, on the block apparently. Why not their best defensive player?

I would add DT McCoy to the first list.

Also a list of players we could let go, for the right deal. Love to hear everyone's thoughts.

I really don't get the guys they have listed for trade.

Olawale? I think he fits with what I think Moore wants, and he was actually getting more like the first 3 games.I don't see him having much value elsewhere.

Heath? So we should weaken on of our weakest position groups? Odd.

Brown.Maybe.

We are deep on the oline and at WR.

Anyone need a C? Looney started all last year. Those guys don't grow on trees.

If they're ready to play Pollard as the gadget guy, we can think about moving Austin or Cobb.

Also, they don't seem to like Smith much, despite his extreme productivity per snap. Another team could be interested in him.

Let’s be honest here. We are great in a lot of areas and our weakest link (not saying it’s a horrible link) is SS. Jeff heath is the man but we can surely get a dog in that secondary. I say we put on our big boy pants and trade for Jamal Adams. My package would be 1st 3rd and 2021 3rd.
Thank God you are not the GM. 3 Picks for a gut who is good but If Dallas would not give a high pick for ET why would they give 3 premium picks for Adams

Dallas will not be involved in any trades. Save it. They don't trade to get talent.

Not sure about the three picks, but ET was coming back from a pretty serious injury AND was older than Adams.

Atkins? Pro bowl last year. Last All-pro year was 2015. 45 tackles last year and 10 sacks.

Kick the tires.
It would likely take giving up our 1st round draft pick for the second straight year. I doubt the Cowboys would do that.
