Agreed. But, to us old fans a SB win now or soon would mean a lot too. I assume you are a little younger and can afford to wait!! I would love to see a SB before l croak!! .

I guess my point is that he's a vital component to the team they now have.
Let's assume the Cowboys execute a similar trade for Myles Garrett. If we win a Super Bowl, fine, then maybe the trade is justified (I say maybe because if we just get one Super Bowl yet our franchise is setback a few years, I don't think fans will think it was justified).
But if we don't or if we have to wait as long as the Falcons did to get to the Super Bowl, I don't think our fans are that patient. There will be endless criticism of such a deal.

I think it's justified if you get a ring. Especially in a sport where a franchise having 6 is the franchise leader.
