Trading Deadline Tomorrow

Any suggestions on who we should explore if anyone?

I think Jerry and the front office should explore trading for a cornerback for the second half run. The trading deadline falls at a perfect time for us because are bye is coming up and we can get that player ready togo for the rest of our divison games and second half of the season. Here is a list of players that would probably come cheap for a 2nd or 3rd round pick or even give up like a Bobby Carptner. Give one of these cornerbacks that are on a not so good team a chance of playing for a superbowl contender as well. A win win situation. Even having Henry come back teams are starting to see we can't cover with 4 or 5 receviers on the field. Nate Jones just isn't getting the job done. Yea that would move Newman or Reeves in the slot if Henry came back but still I would feel more comfortable with a more expierenced nickle cornerback out there.

Here is a list of corners I was thinking about.
Terrence McGee
Darrelle Revis
Andre Dyson
Fabian Washington
Mike McKenzie- sure he has a large salary though.

I doubt there will be any significant trades in Dallas or around the league.

It's funny how Bobby Carpenter is now the Dexter Coakley of all trades. It's hilarious.

Somehow, we believe a team is going to give up one of the most important positions for a backup LB.

The trade deadline in the NFL isn't like other sports. Mid-season trades happen because of injuries mostly that I've seen. They usually don't happen so a team can actually get better. The reason is (IMO), because draft choices are held in extremely high regard.

Darelle Revis?? He was just the 14th pick of the draft. Why would the Jets trade him? And they certainly would not for anything less than a first...

The NFL trade deadline is not like trade deadlines in other sports. There's rarely any action.

I would trade for that mustache in a SECOND, were I another team.

The thing is awesome. I root for him to succeed based solely on how incredible that thing is.

If I were doing a remake of some 70's adult movie, he would be first in line to star in it.

I thought the Carpenter pick was bad from day one. Parcell's picked with his heart, not with his head on that one.

None of those guys would break into our top 3 CB's when Henry is healthy.

Yes Reeves IS playing that good....

I guess you just can't get enough LB'ers in his scheme, esp at the expense of other positions.

It is true that you need lots of LBs when you are starting up a 3-4. But I was more referring to the player was picked based more on previous family loyalty than anything else.

Don't get me wrong he was a great player in college, but he was on one of the best defenses, with a LB playing next to him that is and was twice the player.

Look at the weapons that the USC recent WRs had on their side ( Jarrett and Williams) . But boy they looked good in college, still hasn't translated to any real production at the next level.

Yeah, especially the CB position and a certain CB who will remain nameless out of florida state who's on the verge of starting for the chargers and who made his first INT yesterday. No way could we have used his services yesterday.

The NFL trade deadline is a joke. Since the salary cap trades are virtually non existent except on draft day and that is usually just picks. The cap and free agency have made trades virtually extinct.

I would drop the browns #1 for Hall without a second thought.

Hell, I would even entertain a trade scenario for Adam Jones.
