Trading down looks great!

It is possible to trade down both of Dallas' #1 picks into the second round for a teams second and third round picks, giving Dallas three second round picks and 3 third round picks. Using two of those third round picks to gain an additional 2nd round pick would give Dallas a total of four second round picks. According to NFLdraftcountdown here are the players who will be available in the second round. Pick 4 that you like and ask yourself, what 2 first round players would possibly be better than FOUR second rounders?

I would choose Antoine Cason, James Hardy or Early Doucet, Brandon Flowers and Ray Rice. Pretty tough to pick 2 first rounders that would contribute more than those four. For a third round pick, I'd add Colt Brennan and then in round four pick up Owen Schmitt, everyone's favorite in here.

this is not a horrible idea, however, we better use #22 for a stud....and trade #28 for two pks.

Atlanta has 2 second rounders, although I think it would be unlikely they would make a trade, though. That is unless they fixate on one player.

It is impossible to speculate on trading down until you see how the draft unfolds. Trading one of the firsts may not be terrible, but not both.
