Trading one of the 2 first round picks for a vet WR

I heard this was in the works about 2 hours ago... just wondering if anythign new has come from this. To me, this would be a GREAT deal for the Cowboys. The possible WRs are Anquan Boldin or Roy Williams, that I heard the ESPN guys mention. The Cowboys made a move for Chad Johnson by offering on the their 2 first rounders, but the Bengals declined.

I would LOVE the Cowboys to trade pick #28 for Boldin (or Roy Williams if not Boldin)... that would be the optimal deal for us, in my opinion; I mean with the #22 pick can grab Felix Jones to give Barber some rest... if we give up the #22 I would hope they'd get Boldin and then at #28 maybe still get Jones or go with another top RB on the board like Jones OR go with a top CB left.

What have you all heard on any of this being possible???

Thanks

I would say that Millen or Bidwell are complete morons. I hope you right and we could get either Boldin or RW for 1 draft choice but I find it hard to believe that either team would walk away with very little in return for an established young talent

I would say the ESPN guys probably know less than we do. All they're doing is speculating.

They'd probably give up another pick in the 3rd or 5th round... We will see what happens... I guess with Jerry Jones anything is possible, but yet I think he's been making good moves within the past 3-4 years.

I fully expect the Cowboys to at least MAKE the Super Bowl this season with all of that talent that we have... GO COWBOYS!!!

Word on the street is that it will take both 1st for Roy and I dont see that happening.

I have not heard anything new, but if something has developed in the last 2 hours I have to believe it will be for Boldin.

Just my guess.

That still would be a bad move for the Cards or Lions. These guys are worth more than that if the past trades are an indicator. I would also think that both teams would look to field other offers than a draft pick in the latter part of the 1st rd.

As I said I hope the rumors are right but I'm a bit skeptical that we could get a talented young WR for a low 1st rd pick and a late day 1 or early day 2 pick. Put the shoe on the other foot would you allow one of your top WR go for a late 1st rd pick? Then again Bidwell and Millen are not the brightest bulbs in the league so who knows?

HAHA! We can disagree and still BOTH win ;)

I like those types disagreement. :laugh2: As you I like both and really interested to see how much better than can be with a real QB getting them the ball. Face it neither guy has had a chance to play with a quality QB since they have been in the NFL.

Trading for a veteran WR instead of drafting one? It's an interesting concept. It should have been discussed more.

What about trading up to get McFadden? I haven't really heard much about that.

Watching the countdown clock, I feel like did when I was little looking at the presents under the tree on Christmas eve. I could hardly wait for Christmas morning to come and I could find out what I got. Y'all sure that clock isn't slow? It has been stuck on 21 hours for at least a week:laugh2:

Agreed.

Agreed AND no just a REAL QB but having TO opposite them... then throw in Witten and Barber and company.... we could do some real damage

This has only been brought up about 19 billion times in the last month. Is it too much to ask to do a search before starting ANOTHER thread! Same with the Shaun Alexander stuff!!!!!
