So the news Season of Trailer park boys started last week on netflix.

I got to watch them last night although I seen them through different people on Youtube and of course some of them were not the best quality visually and in some cases the sound was off which was annoying as heck but...it was free.

The first half of the new season I found very disappointing as it was just not as good as before.
IMO the best part of TPBs is really Jim Lehay when he is off the rails drunk and also when he and Randy are working together. I love Bubbles but Lehay IMO is what makes the show work.

For the first half of this season Lehay is sober and not really with Randy.

However it does pick up a littler later and finishes ok.

If you have not watched TPB before, it might not be your cup of tea...if you have you might not like the first part of the season and it gets better in the second half or you might not like it even after that.

Either way...did not like first part of season, Liked the second part of the season.

I haven't watched yet but plan a binge session over the weekend. Agree 100% that the show's tone is much different (slower) without Lahey's drunken schemes and antics that usually result in him in donning his robe and tighty whities. I've felt the show has had ups and downs as with any long running series but as you stated, it always seems to wrap me back in by the end of the season. Off beat comedy that many don't "get" until only after watching a few episodes. Still one of the best original comedies out there.
