Looks, acts, sounds,....and more importantly PLAYS like a veteran NFL center. He is exactly 12 games into his career. Frederick is way ahead of schedule and in no way has he looked like a rookie. In fact,....I honestly believe that the trade we made that secured Frederick and Williams for this team is what will end up being the driving factor that brings home the NFC East crown and puts us in the playoffs.

Seriously,......Picture this team without Frederick and Williams,....where would we be? We would have Costa stinking it up at center and getting pushed back into Romo's Lap and we would have either Harris or Beasley starting at w.r the majority of the year due to Austins Hamstring issues. Not good.

We would also have a very average Sharrif Floyd subbing in at the D.T position.

I was happy that we drafted T Fred because of Costa, which we all know he wasn't even an average center and now 12 games into the season and I'm ecstatic with T Fred's performance and I don't even want to think about where we'd be with Costa.

Williams is added bonus, even though he is going through some growing pains, he has done well for a rookie and he has a very promising career ahead of him.

I don't know if it was Jerry or JG or some one else but whoever made the trade down to get T Fred and Williams gets mad props from me.

I think that having Waters there for a cup of coffee helped him tremendously...I would be all over bringing Waters back for one more year (if healthy of course) so that the young OL could learn even more....

Guy has been a huge asset to us this year. We have the beginning of something special on the OL with he and Smith. We really need to invest in the interior early in this year's draft.

That play where he saw a Raiders player jump and snapped the ball was incredible. That gave us 5 yards back and was a very important play in the game.

He is wise beyond his years.

I'll admit I'm giggly over the thought of Fredbeard manning the center position for the next decade plus.

I agree that certainly looksl ike a very good trade at this point and think most people on the board give the cowboys credit for picking t fred and williams

however, many (including myself) also feel that teams still blitz us through the A gap consistently (and with success) for a reason, our interior OL play is not very good, so we need to draft an OG high next year (not necessarily rd 1 but a starter)

no doubt, i've long bashed the heck out of our drafting but considering all the players that were LONG gone before we picked, getting both TF and TW was a coup. People are already forgetting that TF wasn't widely considered a first rounder....doesn't really matter much now. He's becoming a stud and playing much better than a lot of players selected before him, including Sharif.

He and Twill both have been huge for this team. Especially for rookies.

The question there is, how much are you willing to pay for that? Waters has shown he won't play for cheap, and he has no interest in going through training camp. I'd love to have him, but those are things that need to be considered.

I'm interested in hearing from all those experts and fans on this site who made statement of T Fred is at best 2nd or 3rd rounder

People are starting to notice him in a good way. Including the Giants who said they thought they could take advantage of him because he is a rookie but said they could not.

Guys on this forum were always too hard on T. Williams. Receivers really don't come into their own in the NFL until their second to three year.
T. Williams and Dez Bryant are going to be tearing it up, provided we continue to improve on the offensive line and provided Tony Romo (or an equally talented QB) is behind center.

It's not that he was a 2nd or 3rd rounder in talent. Rather, it was where was he ranked in terms of value.

Even if you suspect that a player has 1st round talent, if the overall evaluation is that he's going to be taken in the 3rd round, you don't spend a 1st rounder on him because that's not where his established value is.

It would be the same for Tom Brady. Even if a team suspects he'll play better than a 6th rounder, you don't pick him in the 1st if his established value is around the 6th round.

So please don't misunderstand the point posters were making. If you can get two players for the price of one, even though one of those players is a steal, you do it.

Loved the pick and love the results thus far.

On another note, did anyone notice the penalty absorption rate of Andre Gurode @ RG for da Raiduhs yesterday? That guy needed a tether.. Lol. Kept jumping all over the place.

Agree.

From my observations, QB and Center are the 2 positions where a quality free agent rarely, if ever becomes available. Getting a quality Center in the draft is much more important than most people realize.
