Some guy posted a video of Diggs jogging and all of a sudden he sucks. This defense isn’t far. Fix the interior and get Bland healthy and you have a defense. The new defense next season may be another set back….

The problem with Diggs is his inconsistency. I could put up with not great tackling on a consistent basis but you never know if he's going to A) Run from contact B) Back pedal from contact C) Kinda sorta try to be a part of the tackle or D) Actually try to stop the ball carrier.

When he does A, B or C the defense generally gives up a minimum of 2-3 yards or more than it should have which turns what should have been a third down & medium into a third & short or even a new set of downs.

To be a good team, everyone has to be accountable for trying to hold every inch.

I will preface this by saying I didn't watch the game last night and even though I recorded it I do not plan to. Probably the first time in over 30 years. I just do not see the point. Having said that implying that Diggs is somehow a bright spot for this absolute turd of a season is exactly why the turd seasons will just keep on coming.

Diggs, in my opinion put more effort into tackling. I think the issue is his willingness to be constant. Technique-wise, he's just not great, nut he's a smaller guy.
What bothers me is when he gives up on runners.

I like Diggs. I have no problem with him.

But I’d still trade him given the state of the rest of the roster. By the time this team is rebuilt again his trade value will be lower and will need a new deal. They could also theoretically invest the Diggs money into more of a position of need, but it’s not gonna happen, nor even be considered.

They need to find a way to get more Day 1-2 picks. If not it’s going to take years to rebuild this roster via the method they use. Even then it’ll require many less mistakes.

This is nothing against Diggs, but there’s no sense in having CB depth when your DL is terrible, and about to lose even more depth. Roll with Bland and Carson at CB and continue to develop mid rounders as depth.

He catches a ton of heat around here, but Diggs is one bright spot on this team--if he can stay healthy.
Diggs is underrated nationally, but I still was not a fan of paying him.

To me the options after 2022 were

A) Get the 2023 Cowboys more help via FA and make a decision on Diggs after the season
B) Trade him for a 1st or 2nd and start the rebuild

But instead we paid him, he got hurt, and we still went 12-5 and bounced early in the playoffs. I really don't think the results would have been different with him.

Nico Collins isn't a household name, but he's an amazing WR. On a per-route basis, he's just as productive as Justin Jefferson.

Dude is probably one of the top 5 hardest covers in football right now, and Diggs took him out of the game.

So...you are saying if we stop implying digs is a bright spot...we stop having a turd of a season?

I'd say with only three targets it wasn;t Diggs that done it.
